  • Amazing TW Earbuds for Under $100 with Great Sound
Style: Z3 Premium Color: Black
Audio quality is really good for the price, or any price for that matter. Comparable or better than earbuds that cost almost double the price or more. Sound is very detailed, clean, and balanced. Soundstage is definitely on the better side of tw earbuds. Not the best but very good especially for the price. Bass isn’t overpowering and nothing is really pushed forward so music sounds as the artist intended the music to sound. Maybe not the best for dance and workout songs because of this but everything, overall, is a pleasure to listen to. Passive noise isolation is again on the better side. Really no need for any active noise cancellation once music has been turned up a bit unless you fly a lot or work as a train conductor or something. Wished there was a transparency mode because of the noise isolation but can’t really complain for the price. Maybe for the next generation or through a firmware update. The company is releasing an app for the earbuds by the end of this year. Beta version should come out within this week. Equalizer and future firmware update(s). Could be a game changer depending on how well the app functions. IPX7 rating is legit. Have showered with them on a few times and they still work perfectly. Earbud will sound muffled if water gets directly on nozzle but a quick removal of tip and wipe will get rid of water afterwards. Battery life is also pretty legit. Never used them for 10 hours straight but I’ve also never dipped below 50% on either earbud at any one time. Earbuds are pretty loud so they’re usually on a pretty low volume setting unless I’m taking the metro. Helps with the already great battery life. Quick charge gives you 2 hours for 15 minutes in case. Pretty good. Not the best. I charge the case about once a week(every 4-5 days). Case is very nice. Fabric look gives it a nice, clean, and sophisticated look and build quality feels very good and solid. Nice snap to the case for those that are into those sort of things. Indicator lights are very useful. Does not support wireless charging but not really a fan and it doesn’t really matter for me especially since I only charge them once a week. Takes about 2 hours to charge the case completely. I had some connection issues and whatnot with the one I ordered from Amazon and after messaging the company a bit, they sent another pair to me, express 2-day overseas shipping and free of charge. Definitely going to be on the lookout if they drop their next generation set of tw earbud and a very satisfied customer. Overall, very happy with my purchase and I would definitely still consider buying them if they were $130. Maybe even $200 if they offered transparency mode or some other features. The audio quality is that good. The only thing that bothers me is that the Bluetooth connection isn’t the best. Bluetooth 5.0 but has a fairly short range especially with a wall or two. I always keep my phone on me so it’s not really an issue but just a side note. The earbuds sometimes cuts out or stutters randomly a bit but this rarely happens and could be fixed through a firmware update. Just really weird and a bit disappointing when it happens. Case is also a bit uncomfortable in jean pocket. Doable but definitely preferable in a jacket pocket. The product comes with three sizes of silicone ear tips and a set of foam “flexi-fit” ear tips. The silicone ear tips are of high quality even though they may not look like it. Fit is very important so try them all. Found the medium ear tips to fit the best but they dug into the side of my ear canals sometimes when I shifted them or moved around. Problem solved after a bit of getting used to and replacing with medium size spin-fit cp360 ear tips. Foam could be the way to go but I don’t like how they have to be replaced every few months. Earbuds are now very comfortable even after hours of use. Don’t really give you that clogged feeling and earbuds are nice and snug. Controls are nice and simple and they include volume control which is always nice. Works well and taps don’t have to be extremely quick. Button is easy to press but the pinch-and-press method is still good. I actually prefer button control over touch as I can’t accidentally control my earbuds if I want to adjust them in my ear. The earbuds are of a simple and generic/classic design. Plastic is nice and smooth and earbuds are solid. Could do with a bit more grip for a more premium feel and for cold weather but that’s a small thing. Earbuds are symmetrical so you can use them on either ears which is useful when in mono mode. Just remember to check which is which side for control purposes. Can change how controls are set up once app is launched. Another note is that you can pause YouTube but can rarely ever press play afterwards. Not a huge deal as I don’t have YouTube premium so I’m on my phone already. Sometimes happens to Spotify but it seems to be more of an app problem as I can’t play from my phone quick menu either. Have to go back into app to reload and continue. For a relatively unknown company, it’s shocking but pleasant to see that they were able to deliver such a quality set of tw earbuds especially on their first attrmpt. If you don’t particularly care for the more advanced tech on the market such as anc, transparency mode, wireless charging, auto-pause, etc., these earbuds are definitely the ones for you. A huge steal at under $100. Definitely worth giving a try and can make a nice gift if you already own a quality set of tw earbuds. Good quality set of reliable tw earbuds with some of the best sound available on the market. Don’t ever have to worry about water or battery and pairing is simple and fairly stable. It can’t pair with multiple devices at the same time but I just pair it with my phone. Might want to look elsewhere if that’s important. ... show more

  • Amazing value for money
Style: Z3 Premium Color: Black
Tracks: are listed. All Bluetooth from iPhone 6s standard def. Comparison: Shure SE 535, My own setup which I wont bore you with but essentially tubes and vinyl Summary. Pro: wow where to start - everything, Con: well compared to the Shure they have a slight veil across the music. Hang on the 535 are 5x the price. Shut up John. At the price? Nothing against these at all on any kind of music. I have just run through the gamut of music I listen to, and at no time did I want to skip. I threw everything at these guys and they did not run away. Even the Ode to Joy. They were spectacular on vocals but everything else was, quite frankly, amazing They beat the Shure down in the bass - yep you heard. I've had them for maybe a month and by the sound of them they are still breaking in. Make a note. They break in. Depending on how much you use them 1w. You can read all about the tech wonderment and controls on the website. The only quibble and it would not stop my buying them is the case. They are hard to get out. I have sausage fingers and they slip - solved in a while with grip adding. But that's it. These are quite simply superb, for the money and probably much more. Next step for me is a portable headphone amp / dac because these guys have way more in them. You will not be disappointed. That's it. Exceptional, Read on if you want. These things are amazing... For a pair of affordable Bluetooth earbuds these things are near magic. Greatest strength? Their ability to disappear and let you enjoy the music. Vocals, space, detail. Weakness. They get a little lost on complex mediocre recordings. What doesn't? The TEVI are relaxing and very easy to like A LOT. No harshness, lots of bass - albeit a teeny bit detached from the midrange, quite normal in this price range. Music? Where to start. The bass is easily up to anything sensible. Make sure to get them to fit right! As usual with this kind of product. Sunny Days - AVB 984 The TEVIs ate that and told me exactly what was going on. I Saw Good - AVB SOT'20 again, all the detail was there. Holographic? No but the detail at the price is nuts and they go up seamlessly and without harshness. These tracks have moderate bass, AVB is too good to smother the tracks. They were superbly balanced top to bottom. So.. ok Approaching Nirvana - Here Again oh yeah there's the bass lots of it. This is an old track with a classic heavy bass line. Ok so I heard stuff in the AVB tracks.... well after a few more tracks...what are they doing in the midrange? I pulled a hard right and went off into Acoustic and Electro Acoustic. Mary Black. No Frontiers has been a go to reference forever and the TEVIs did not disappoint. It starts with Mary and a guitar and then the other instruments, mostly Irish acoustic, drop in. If the kit is any good they drop in and don't move, they didn't. The soundstage is quite good. There is even a bit of front to back separation on this track which makes no sense with earbuds hey I'll take it. Run - Snow Patrol. It's a dense track. The TEVIs kind of went 'gulp' OK we'll try. Once again that voice was brilliant. Gary is quite distinct, I mean like he's in front of you and it is definitely him. No mistake. Oh hang on where the heck did that guitar come from.. ohhh it's a dense mix. So the TEVis did really well. Run it again. Actually brilliantly They keep doing well on voice.. Ok La Traviata, Netrebko and Villazon. It's a live recording. Woah! I know this front to back. These buds were insane! I can hear the height. depth a little and this demented soundstage. But the voices OMG. Anna ran over the crescendo on "Che Fai? Nulla". When I say ran over, she sort of swats it out of existence right down your ears. I swore to myself. Goosebumps everywhere. I could listen to this all day. The strings stay stringy. They don't get wiry - that is a big thing for classical music. Hmm the sound is actually quite seamless here. Importantly right across the vocal range and down into the mid bass. Then there is a teeny softening and you're in the basement but they are still articulate down there. Warning! Know the music! These things reproduce dynamics. I forgot what happened a little after that and ... Ouch! Well everyone wants to know about rock. Classic Rock? SRV, and you got to remember these are older recordings. Love Struck Baby from '83.. are you kidding? I have heard this on really expensive equipment. The instruments are in the right place, SRV keeps doing that wander off to the right thing. I love that the guitar is placed in the mix correctly. I remember hearing this recently on my own gear, Vinyl. I don't know who mastered this but they were a genius. Oh I got to stop typing and listen. This is good. Crazy good. This is like pick an instrument to listen to... if you want. Well he had to appear in this Ozzy - Courtesy of Paranoid. I have tried to cover that bass line myself and it's hard and fast and oh yeah, really easy to listen to here. It's his voice again. These things are freaking magical with voice. Where's Ozzy? Oh and now I realize covering that bass line was an exercise in futility. ... show more
