About Water-resistant Watches Water Resistant Watches are sealed to withstand some pressure. Water resistance is tested in measurements of atmosphere (ATM). Each ATM denotes 10 meters of static water pressure. This is not the depth to which a watch can be worn. Many watch cases will list the basic measurement of 1 ATM as "water-resistant." These watches will withstand small splashes of water but should not be worn while washing the hands or submerging the hands in water. Remember, water resistance is tested under static conditions. Wearing a watch which is 50 metres water resistant to water will expose the watch to a much greater pressure than during a 50-metre static test. Therefore the number of metres shown on the watch does not indicate the depth that the watch can be taken to. Here is a general guide 50M = 5ATM = Shower Proof - it's ok to get it wet a bit. 100M = 10ATM = Extended Water Exposure good for swimming or snorkeling. 200M = 20ATM = Pressure Resistant made for Scuba and Skin Diving.

My watch arrived today in a nice black cardboard box with instructions included. It was perhaps the easiest watch to set the time on that Ive ever had. I'm a connoisseur of cheap watches so that is saying something. The band is wide and the buckle engages nicely. The large display makes it easy to see the time and the backlight works well enough to do the job. The buttons are accessible and have a reassuring feel, springing back up strongly, with only a slight bit of play side to side. The mode button on bottom left beeps crisply when pushed to switch from time to stopwatch to alarm to timesetting. The stopwatch is excellent and displays increments down to hundredths of a second. There seems to be some variation of the text around the watchface based upon the pictures displayed on amazon. Mine reads SKMEI across the top, has labels for each button's function, then says SKM-1167 at the bottom center. My only complaint thusfar is that the bezel is not a matte black color as it appears in the photos. It is quite shiny - not the best trait for a watch marketed as a tactical/military style timepiece. Overall, this seems like a solid purchase. I will update if it's longevity or water-resistant abilities prove to be lacking. ... show more

I didnt have major expectations. Just a decent looking watch as a substitute when I didn't want to wear my Apple watch. Most watches at this cost level look cheap and crappy. This one looks cool.

This is a great watch. It looks very masculine and feels premium. The watch face is large and easy to read and the backlight is very nice in the dark. The band feels nice and premium too. Update 4/17/23. The light button quit working. It was dim but adequate, but now does not work at all. Also, I have not had it near water at any time (including handwashing), but now it has moisture under the glass that partially obscures the face. I suspect that moisture is probably from China or the trip over here, and will shorten the life of this watch. It still keeps time, but I'm disappointed in the low quality. --- I have not worn a watch for maybe 15 years. After all, all the functionality was on my phone, right? But I have been rethinking my phone and the constant distraction it is. I am forced to take it with me everywhere because of the clock on it, but every time I pull it out, it distracts me with messages, news, and other things that grab my attention. There were many times I could have happily done without my phone (working on projects, long walks, deep conversations), but I was tethered by the clock. This watch ended my enslavement to my phone. I have the date and time, timers and alarms, all at a very inexpensive price. The face is a nice larger size, is simple and clear, and the band is long enough to fit my wrist comfortably. ... show more
