Even with all the rocks in my head, they are holding up well, sinking in just enough to retain comfort throughout the night. Glad I have them. Zzzzzzzzzzz!!!! Purchased in Aug 2016: Hard to buy pillows online but the description was accurate about the pillow type and the 550 fill, and firmness. Odd though that I ordered these on the website that showed "pillows by Better Down, sold by Quality Pillow" which matched the actual image on the website. I received what are similar pillows from/by "Continental Bedding". Even the label inside the plastic bag packaging was identical to the "Better Down" pillows listed, other than the company name. I get angry when these vendors swap products out and mix and match and mislead customers. I was going to return these but after considerable thought and not wanting to be further inconvenienced I opted for keeping the pillows that were sent. If this were clothing or tools or shoes, so what, but on products that my face will be on every night, I'd prefer accuracy on my orders and get exactly what is listed on the webpage I'm ordering from. The pillows are firm and good for back and side sleeping, seem to be stitched well, sturdy, with only a mild "feathery odor" which I know dissipates from down pillows in awhile. It's very mild. I would have ordered the Royal Hotel pillows but they are only 28 inch, and I prefer the 30 inch length so kept the set I received. While on the bed these pillows look like they're blown full of air because they stand so tall; just saying they are plenty full of down and do not squish much during the night. I alternate sleeping on my stomach and side, and these pillows are fine. I know over time down will lose some fluff (my old set did/pretty flat now) so the 550 fill is very good now, although a bit more firm than I wanted but that's OK. They'll break in a bit over time. These are full and after you push your hand into the pillow, it bounces back well. They are covered in a good amount of material so I expect they'll last. These were not cheap, and I'm still annoyed these did not match what I ordered; something odd going on, that these are being sold under different names, can't find the manufactures online anywhere, web pages do t match what I ordered..... Dunno, I guess it'll be fine if I get what I paid for as these are expensive pillows...so far so good but I've only had them a week.

BUT JUST RIGHT!! This pillow is perfect for my sore neck, which spasms because of my chronically poor posture at the computer. I could pay a physical therapist, but this pillow accomplishes for me what I'd have to get at the therapist. My best efforts at improving posture have yielded some relief, but this pillow is THE BEST for giving the relief that I need at night.

I bought the pillow for good quality down. I have neck problems so I needed a pillow that was super soft. I may have found the right pillow but I am not sure yet. The problem is the cover that holds the down is too think and seems to have a plastic coating or something on it. It kind of crinkles when you move which is annoying but more importantly it doesn't let enough air through so it takes some effort and time to squeeze the extra volume out of the pillow to get it where it needs to be. The result is that every time I move it feels uncomfortable like a medium or firm pillow but then later it gets better. It also makes it a bit hotter because the parts that haven't "deflated" wrap around your body. I am considering getting a cotton case and moving the down into it to have a better result. So all in all it is good but if you like soft then you might look elsewhere or expect a breaking in time.

In my experience an all down pillow is NOT meant for support while sat up etc. By their nature they will compress. Ideally you can pair with a firmer pillow for support while reading etc. However where this pillow excels is that it will cradle your head & neck in clouds of fluffiness, with just the perfect amount of support during the night. This pillow did not short change on down fill and actually lists how much down by weight is in the pillow. Most competitors do not disclose that info, and my head sank through to the mattress by morning with the another pillow I tried before this one. That's because the amount of fill wasn't anywhere near this one. I noticed now that this pillow has increased 30% in price since I bought it also (king size). After a full year with it I'd say it was still worth every penny even at the current price. I know we all want to save money, but don't even think of spending less than $100 if you want a quality down pillow. Trust me, I tried!

This is what we've been looking for! My husband has a lot of neck issues and memory foam gives him migraines every time. I've ordered a few pillows off Amazon and at Costco, but had trouble with the description saying it was 100% down with a "soft" fill, but they always had something in the middle that was firm or gave the pillow a lumpy texture or was just not soft enough. This was exactly as described and exactly what he wanted! It has that fluffy feel that allows your head to sink almost all the way to the mattress, but not. When he turns his head in the middle of the night, it gives way and doesn't force his head into weird positions that cause neck strain and lead to morning migraines. So happy to find this. Will definitely buy it again!
