    • Obsessed! I found the perfect bedspread!

I am bad about remembering to write reviews so I stopped decorating to review this skirted bedspread. This is how it arrived straight out of the package. I have bought and returned so many bed linens I was almost afraid to unpackage it. But I’m so glad I listened to the other good reviews of this product and took a chance. 1st is the skirt is truly 30”! I have a high bed and it does cover all the way to the floor! This alone makes me so happy but I’m as obsessed with the product as a whole. The material is top quality and will maintain some of the wrinkles (as I wanted) if I decide to steam it at all. The top portion has some padding to it which gives it the exact amount of fluff. The stitching is perfect. And as exciting to me is I used a queen pillow for the shams and they actually cover the entire pillow. No ugly gapping! I recommend anyone looking for this style of bedspread and would give it 100 out of 5 if I could. ... show more

    • Simply Perfect
Color: White Size: Queen
Wow, Finally! All I needed was an old fashioned bedspread to cover my adjustable bed frame. Bed skirts were not compatible, everything I found was heavy or too short. This is perfect for my 1926 house and my dreamy bedroom. It is light enough for summer and will serve as a bedskirt under quilts in the winter. Now I can hide my 2020s bed frame under an elegant 1920s spread. It’s perfect. ... show more

    • UPDATED Beautiful and Simple Coverlet - Exactly What I Wanted
Color: White Size: Twin
Review Image by Eirekitten
I have been wanting a simple drop ruffle bedspread/coverlet in linen for ages...while this is decidedly NOT linen, it is a great substitute. I purchased in white, and although it is wrinkled out of the bag, it is lovely. I was looking for a clean vintage farmhouse look and this delivered. It is subtly feminine and romantic without being cutesy or cheesey or childish. No fussy frills and ruffles mess. • I fits my bed perfectly, and the drop ruffle (single only, not multiple/frilly) is the perfect length. My mattress is 12" thick and my bed frame is about 13" high, so there is a nice pooling of material on the floor. • The material is very soft and at first I was concerned the coverlet would be too sheer (I have sheets in varying shades of blue and patterns) but the top is much thicker than the sides, and the dark blue sheet is not noticeable on the sides or top. • There are some threads here and there, but overall the construction is good. I feel confident this will last awhile. • The only concern I have is keeping the white white. I was looking at a different coverlet when shopping for something like this and that was described as "delicate material/dry clean only" which was a pass for me. THIS one is machine washable, cold/gentle cycle which is wonderful. I definitely would 10/10 buy this again. If white doesn't work over time, I'll try another color. UPDATE 9 months later: As anticipated, the white has not held up too well to daily use. I've washed it multiple times and even though I haven't reduced the star rating, I'd say it dropped by half a star because of these two issues: 1) The thin stuffing in the top of the cover is beginning to bunch up so it gets lumpier after each wash (I wash on cold and always airdry) 2) Worse than that, the top is starting to pill everywhere! I have this dark pilling all over and it really shows up against the white. Sooooo.....I just ordered a new set in the light grey. I might buy a pill shaver to see if I can salvage the white bedspread because I really still love this thing. ... show more

Edit several months later: I got two so I could change when one needed laundering and I've washed both and the filling bunched up at the top of one of them. I can't get it to even out. So far the other one is OK. I do have a small stack washing machine. I love it! I was hesitant to order this because I read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of photos and decided to just hope I liked it, and I do. It's very lightweight and soft but warm. I put a flat sheet underneath it. I don't have a box spring, just a metal frame with space underneath and it's not see through, maybe it would be if sunlight shone on the bed. This is really weird but one of the shams does not have the shabby wrinkles so it doesn't match. The material near the stitching in the middle puffed up a little overnight but came down after pulling the side ruffles down. There was no wrinkling out of the box other than what it's supposed to have so what you see on my bed is right out of the box, I didn't wash it first. It had no bad smell, stains or yellowing. I got a white queen size and it is white, not a yellowish color at all. I love it so much I ordered another one as a back-up, now what do I do with the cotton quilts I got a couple years ago? I won't be going back to them!) Because some posted theirs arrived damaged or stained, I had to open the back-up just to check it while it is still in the return period and it was fine, just as good as the first one. ... show more

    • Yellow and Dirty, but fits very nice and very soft and fluffy
Color: Pale Yellow/Ivory Size: King
Let's start with the good: I have a queen size bed that's about 30 inches high, and the king size of this bedspread fit perfectly and had a nice drape to it. Unlike some of the reviews here, I thought the spread was very fluffy and not flat, and also very soft. There were a few random single stitches to hold the cushiony stuff inside in place, and they blended in OK - some pinching, but overall fine. The bad: As soon as I opened this package, there was this dirty smell that I'm having trouble describing - maybe a bit musty but really just...a dirty smell. Then I noticed that there was green and gray lint fuzz on it - I'm thinking this bedspread was previously used and placed on top of a green fleece blanket. Then I saw something more crumbly/sticky - it had the color of cardboard but seemed stuck/glued to the bedspread. Thought it might have been a graham cracker crumb but it didn't smell. I was thinking I'd just wash it but the tag says dry clean. I find this unacceptable - sending out a dirty bed spread that has to be taken to the dry cleaners before using - especially in the midst of a pandemic. I realize some "dry clean only" stuff can be washed on the gentle cycle, but I didn't want to risk ruining it and then not being able to return it, since I was also unhappy with the color - a dirty, yellowing ivory or butter yellow. I'm not sure if it was more yellow because it was dirty or if that's the true color, but if that's the color I was aiming for, I could have just used my old, yellowing (once white) comforter I've had for 10 years that I just threw in the dumpster after bleach didn't work. I was considering trying again and buying the white (which I've read is more like a true ivory), but after reading other reviews where people found gross stuff, I just feel that's too much of a risk. Such a shame because other than the cleanliness and the color, it really is a nice bedspread that seems to work with what I have dimension-wise. 3 stars because the product itself, if clean and the correct color, would be nice. ... show more

    • Exactly as described
Color: White Size: Queen
Excellent. Looks just like the product photos. The dimensions and length fit our queen bed on a high bed frame perfectly, hiding our storage bins underneath. It's hard to find a bed skirt/cover like this. The crinkled fabric is a bonus since it doesn't require ironing. It creates a clean, finished look for our bedroom. ... show more
