Measured and cut straps then, placed in hot water for a few minutes, to make them easy to stretch. If you want them tight, they have to be cut slightly shorter than actual measurements.

I was able to repair the chairs I had and the results worked but I was unable to stretch the straps very much after heating, I am a woman but I don't think it made any difference. I was able to wrap one side double wrapped but the other single wrapped. The fasteners were way too big but I was able to use the old ones. I wouldn't buy this again. ... show more

    • If this is replacing worn out webbing on older chairs, make sure the frames are sturdy and sound.

I didn’t discover how badly rusted my lawn chair really was until I had ordered the new webbing material. After it arrived, I proceeded to remove the old webbing and found the frame was so rusted it was worthless. I’ll find another use for the new webbing. Perhaps I’ll weave a privacy screen instead
