    • TOUGH To Review - Works GREAT For Adults, NOT So Great For Smaller Kids

This is a really tough one to review. We wanted a piano to take with us on a long trip so my son could continue his practice, and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. And indeed, it is EXTREMELY portable, and the charged battery lasts a long time, much longer than I expected. It is also really well made, this is of course silicon rubber but it has a premium feel, looks amazing, and decent sound quality. And let's face it... what other options do you really have? As an adult playing it, once I learned the best way to 'actuate' the keys I was able to play rather well, including multiple key roll-overs and very few incorrectly registered notes. All that being said, my 7 year old son did NOT have a good experience. He plays several years beyond his age, much better than I do, and it was immediately clear to me that his smaller fingers were not accurately (or sometimes at all) registering with the piano. It did not seem to matter where on the key he struck, sometimes it would just repeat the note at a very high speed, sometimes when he was rolling over keys it would just not register, etc. We spent several days trying to figure out if there was a trick that would help and ultimately could not find anything that we could do. So to wrap up, as an adult I can say this is convenient, simple, and works well given what it is. However, I would suggest that if you are looking at around ages 9 or younger as the primary audience, you look elsewhere. It is simply too frustrating to see your kid play the notes perfectly and this piano spit out somewhat random sounds. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I always wanted to have an instrument which is portable and easily can carry even when travelling.. i am so glad that i found one.. this roll up piano is a great addition due to the fact that it does play well and also portable just as you can see in the picture and the video on how smooth and easy it is to play.. It looks quite sleek and also very stylish.. love the fact that it has a small bag after you pack it up all.. my kids love to play with it with just few days we bought this one.. infact we plan to have piano lessons setup for them now :) ... show more

Junk. I understand for the price. I thought I'd even use it without sound and just practice when traveling in working out fingering. Nope. Had it for about 10 minutes. Had to give up. Even single melody with no chords- there is no sound. Let alone if you have 2 note plus chords. Save your time and money. ... show more

This keyboard is exactly what I expected. It's small when rolled up and very portable. I wish it was a tad more lightweight, the rubber is a bit heavy, but it also makes it more durable and able to take the abuse of smashing it into my carry-on. I'm learning to play right now and wanted to be able to practice on a regular sized keyboard while traveling because I hate using cumbersome iPad apps. The sound would be better on an iPad, but I'm purely using it for technical practice as opposed to recording. I have not used the midi function, so I'm not sure if it's any better when you try to record into an audio program like GarageBand. ... show more

The way this keyboard is set up is way better than the last keyboard I had...way easier to play doesn't really malfunction between keys it is sensitive enough but not too sensitive. That being said I have to return the one I got the middle c key doesn't work. I'm hoping this is not a regular malfunction I think it's just bad luck I'm going to absolutely purchase another one and return this one I really like the setup.
