My daughter has recently taken an interest in dinosaurs, so I thought this would be a fun gift for her. She was scared at first by the roaring and lights, but after a few minutes she was dancing around it and talking to it and imitating it! It was very cute. It came in nice packaging and was simple to get up and running. I shopped around for a remote control dinosaur and they are all around the same price as this. There are less expensive ones but they don't have the steam function. I'm glad I spent a little more for that, because it's pretty cool. I like that it comes with 2 rechargeable batteries for the dinosaur. Some things to keep in mind with this toy: the dinosaur movements are very fast and jerky. There is no sensitivity with the remote; you hit a button and it's full power! It makes controlling the dinosaur a little tricky because it is not heavy and the quick movements make it tilt back and forth. It doesn't quite tip over, but you sometimes have to stand it back flat on its feet. There is no volume control. It's either off or loud (but not ridiculously loud). It comes with instructions, but it seems as if there are some pages missing. It doesn't explain how to add the water or how to turn the remote off and on or the fact that the sound button has different roars, etc. I was able to figure it all out (there is a cap on the head you remove to add water) but it might be good if they added that information. It doesn't come with the two AA batteries needed for the remote (the description doesn't say they are included, but I didn't see where it says they aren't included). The main picture in the description shows two dinosaurs. When I first saw the listing, I thought you would get two dinosaurs, but after reading more, I saw it's only one. I add that for impulse shoppers who don't read the fine print! All in all, this is a simple and fun toy. It makes a great gift at a reasonable price. ... show more

This is ONE Dinosaur, not two. Looking at some of the photos, I expected it to be two dinosaurs who could battle. That being said, this is a super cool toy! It lights up, roars, spins, and moves backward and forward. It comes with two battery packs for the belly of the dinosaur. One to use and one to charge. There is a USB cord included. The remote control requires two AA batteries, which are not included. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver to open the compartments for both. (Tool not included.) Once the batteries are safely installed, there are no small parts. Only the dinosaur and remote control. The buttons on the remote control are not marked with backward, forward, spin, roar, etc. So, you just have to figure it out. Also, there are no instructions about how to use the water. It's okay. Moves around on tile or hardwood floors but just kind of wiggles on carpet. The emotive actions like roaring and such are very entertaining for my dogs. But even they lose interest after a few minutes.

This was so cool the first couple days but it broke so easily by the 3rd or 4th day it was beyond repair... for this price I would hope it would last at least a week! Too bad, it was an awesome toy at first.

we got this for my son and he likes it but the dogs really love it. we had had so many family laughs from the dogs and this dinosaur. The remote was a bit tricky learning what all the buttons do but once we learned it was pretty easy loved that it comes with 2 batteries that's a great plus.

This little guy has great moves, and more options that other similar dinos on the market. The price is better, too. He is a little more cartoonish looking that others, but for me, that's a win. The others are little bit too scary looking for younger kids. The remote is easy to handle, but there is a bit of a learning curve to remember what does what. It brings a lot of laughter during the learning process! The "smoke" from the water vapor is a plus, as it adds another dimension that most toys lack.
