UPDATE: Tassel broke off after one day of wear. No way to reattach it because the material used to attach it was like a brittle twist tie. Had to return. :( ORIGINAL: I bought this based on reviews regarding quality and versatility. When it arrived, I was disappointed by both. The etchings along the edge of the pendant feel cheap. When worn, the pendent wants to turn rather than lay flat. The white side is blah. The chain itself feels cheap, particularly the beads. The chain tends to get wrapped around itself. The length should be able to adjust to a shorter length rather than longer in my opinion. I’d classify this as average costume jewelry. I ordered another pendant and it was so small it looked like I was just wearing a long chain. This is not too big but one can see you're wearing a pendant. Someone else who reviewed this said it was cheap-looking. While it's not real silver it doesn't have that really cheap shiny look to fake silver. It's costume jewelry for sure but not as cheap looking as I feared. It's reversible too: mother of pearl on one side and the other side is made of some sort of shell I guess but it's pretty shades of greys and blues. ... show more

Very beautiful. Chain is thick with different links and beads. Pendant the shell was shined up. Only Problem I thought it was longer.

I really love the necklace and it's beautiful but it broke after wearing it only two times. It seemed to break really easily too. It wasn't pulled on or dropped or anything. I was wearing it around my neck and the pendant fell off completely which was a bit of a shock. This is a nice necklace, but heavy and bulky. Not what I expected from the pictures. It is not what I would have bought had I seen it in a store. Looks too fake in person.
