We got this for my son’s 10th birthday and he has been using it for a few months now. He has loved having something he can record events, make movies, and do his own little documentaries with. He doesn’t have his own phone yet so this has been a fun little gadget to have. It is super simple to use and set up. There’s not tons of features so it is very user friendly. It can record and also take pictures. You are able to set the date and time on it so it has a time stamp of when things are being done. It is quite durable! I mean a 10 year old has been carting it around and using it and it has lasted the last 4 months. The zoom is pretty good and says it can zoom in 8x. The picture attached is zoomed into our neighbors house that is down the road. It is small and compact and easy to maneuver. The strap can be adjusted so it will fit different size hands. There’s a tripod feature available on the bottom where it can screw into one if needed. It comes with some memory, but not near enough and so we just bought a memory card and that has been great. I bought this for my two boys, ages 7 and 10. They already had a kid video but it doesn’t compare to this one. This feels and performs like a camera anyone would use! It’s easy to figure out, the clarity is good and it’s lightweight. So far they have been really enjoying it.

I do like this camera. It takes nice pictures and videos. Most of the operations for use are easy and straightforward. I did find the touch screen is finnicky. It's either super sensitive or slow to respond. The remote has been easy to use and responsive. Battery life on the camera itself has been really good. The media could not be loaded. This is a good budget camera especially for podcast and vlogging. The camera turns on by opening the side screen. The touch screen can be stubborn at times so I found it easier to use the buttons on the same side of the camera whenever possible. The picture is surprisingly good and the sound on the internal microphone is okay. However the external mic is extremely loud when sat on high and still has plenty of volume when sat on low. I found that the stabilizing handle gets in the way when keeping the camera mounted. In order to access the battery or the SD card I had to remove the stabilizing handle. This would be really cumbersome if I had to change the battery while carrying the camera and videoing. If I want to use the remote control I have to remove the lens hood because the hood blocks the signal from the remote. Once I sat the camera up to suit my needs in my studio by leaving the stabilizer handle and lens hood off and using my studio mic, the camera has performed beyond my expectations. ... show more
