  • Awesome walkie talkies.
Style: T802
Very durable and works perfectly.

  • Clip update and Bluetooth connection
Style: T802
Radios work great. Just an update, based on other reviews, they have changed the clip design. Bluetooth is good. Tried both AirPod pro 1 and 2. AirPods don’t work that great because if they are paired to your iPhone they automatically connect to the iPhone and you can’t get them onto the radio. Even if not paired to your iPhone they want to connect as a new device every time I open them. Volume was low and if you pushed the PTT button on the radio it used that mic on the radio not the headset. Only way to transmit through Bluetooth was to click the stem once and remember to click again to stop. Using the soundcore liberty 4 pro seems to do the trick. PTT button goes through the Bluetooth mic. Volume is much better. You can adjust the volume for both headsets with the stem and use transparency and noise cancellation. Bluetooth update: I have also tried the Earfun clip and the Earfun Air Pro 4+ both work and connect extremely well. I customized the controls so that one press activates the voice assistant which functions as a push to talk on the radio so you press once to transmit and press again to stop. You can set it to different things like double, triple or long press if preferred. I can also confirm the Earfun Open Jump works as well. If you need something for very loud environments I would recommend something that is in ear and has noise cancellation. ... show more

  • Fantastic quality set of M2 way Motorola Radios
Style: T802
Fantastic 2 way radios with more features than I need, but great quality and size. I was in commercial construction for my entire career, and when we used radios, we always used Motorola. I bought these for working in attic or crawl space so I can communicate without having to pound on framing to get my partners attention. Much easier to just talk and listen from a clear radio. It also comes in handy when you are driving with 2 vehicles on a long road trip. It is way better than using the cell phone, for sure. They come with a rechargeable battery and They hold the charge all day of use. ... show more

  • Features work well, I hope they keep this up
Style: T802
I opted for these over the T200 series because of the app compatibility. I'll break this down into functions with and without the app or use of a phone in tow. Without: -Excellent voice clarity. The clarity is sublime and blows my Cobra XT series out of the water. -Range is fair, nothing mind blowing in a suburban area with buildings, and wifi systems in the way. If I'm in between a lot of stone they fail to reach the other party, however I've found that I hear them perfect. Points to Motorola on that. -Very easy interface, even for a newcomer. I don't struggle at all, however I am relatively experienced with radios. I really appreciate the simplicity. My wife even has mentioned they are simpler than others I've handed off to her. -Features, even ignoring the app, such as weather and weather alerts, a vibration function for receive, flashlight that works even if the radio is turned off, call tones that you can adjust so you can tell who is calling you (if you had more than two units) -This works even with GMRS walkie talkies. I've tested this with several other brands and so long as you stay within the FRS channels. GMRS has the boon of pushing 5 watts within specific channels, whereas FRS is limited to 2 watts to .2. This limits your reach a little bit, but it's all line of sight anyway. With the app: -You can text. You can text specific members in your group or the whole group, all without cell service. It's awesome. It also has maps. -Maps, tracking, pins and sharing location. It also does geofencing, but I have not had a desire to mess with this feature. -Total radio control, even to the point of transmitting through it so long as you're within bluetooth range. This gives me an idea for extended range by tying it up and raising it high up to give you a little boost in range. Change channels, choose sub codes, dual watch channels all on the app. I docked a point because the app is a little leaky with its ToS and license agreement. Battery takes a very long time to charge, but lasts a totally fair amount depending on use. We got through my entire shift with some to spare with the bluetooth on and what I'd consider moderate to intense use testing constantly to get a feel for range and features. Durability is good; I accidently dropped mine on some tile from on a ladder about 4' up and it survived fine. Never even turned off. Belt clips are probably the weak point but work well. For $100 I recommend these if you plan to use the features. If you just want a simple walkie talkie, save half the price and get the T200 series and enjoy basically the same good stuff. They would work with these even as far that aspect. If you are curious for the features, I advise it. Especially if you can get more than a few people in a group using them. ... show more

  • The app is a joke. Walkie talkies work ok.
Style: T802
Worst customer service and even worse app. The walkie talkie themselves are fine. However, all the bells and whistles are a complete joke. I spent over 3 hours with Motorola trying to pair my phone, account , and walkie talkie. None of the techs were able to do it either. Don’t know about the android app, but the Apple app has 2.8 stars. That should tell you everything. ... show more

  • Well so far, quite happy and impressed.
Style: T802
Of all the devices similar, this took the cake because of pricing and bluetoothe capability. The other technology that requires a license (which is easy to get I hear) is supposedly more distance, but it turns out that this is just about as good. It's very attractive, a great little screen with great indicator lighting and information, nice usb c charger port, super easy buttons (but reading the instructions a must), the side buttons are super easy to use, very comfortable and intuitive for the hand. What a winner. The one thing hard to understand is why the bottom has such a small base. You can stand it up, but it has to be a nice flat surface, straight surface. Would be nice to have a big, flat base you could plunk down anywhere. But maybe there's a reason for the gap as well - maybe to hang on your pack? Haven't explored all the features - but use it often to communicate. Love it. Price was very good for what you get. Also nice is that the belt clip does not jut out very far, nice and flat. The antenna is very sturdy, all in all feels great in the hand and does the job much better than our other well known brand. LOVE that you can use lithium rechargeable included and AAs. Rechargeable AA lithiums could be used as well, just got some of those from EBL and so far, fantastic. With a little portable solar panel recharger, that would be pretty all-in-one. A+++ for sure! A full power recommend! ... show more
