The colors are vigraint and the material sturdy. A 17in laptop fits with room to spare. Secondary pouch looks to fit an ipad or tablet and both pockets are well padded. This backpack is beautiful! I LOVE the color combination, it makes it look upscale & classy. The bag appears to be very well made & the fabric used is a very nice weight. One of the things I find very important when traveling is staying organized and being able to find what I'm looking for, I haven't traveled with it yet, but it looks like I will absolutely be able to find what I am looking for. I ordered a backpack from a well known "travel person" who has their own line of travel suitcases/equipment, that backpack had a similar style but didn't even come close to quality, size, organization, pockets or features.
