I recently picked up the LOTAWAY speaker because I needed something versatile for different events, sometimes background music for parties, sometimes amplifying speaking voices, sometimes even small musical performances. I have to say, I'm really happy with this purchase so far based on its features and how easy it is to use. Right off the box, without any particular adjustment, the sound is impressively clear. Music comes through with distinct elements, and when I've plugged in a microphone, voices are reproduced very well, which is essential for speeches or singing. It seems to have some capable internal processing working, as the overall sound feels balanced across the highs, mids, and lows, and nothing feels lacking for its size. One of the biggest wins for me is the battery. It packs a substantial 4400mAh battery, and that translates to real freedom. I can set this speaker up pretty much anywhere without scrambling for a power outlet, which has been fantastic for outdoor gatherings and venues with tricky layouts. It definitely relieves that anxiety about the battery dying mid-event. The battery is also removable, which could come handy when it’s time to replace it, instead of those other devices that you have to throw away when their internal battery is dead. Getting connected via Bluetooth 5.0 is a breeze. My tablet found it and paired up immediately without any fuss (see video). I also appreciate the TWS feature. While I only have one unit right now, knowing I can easily link up a second one wirelessly for true stereo sound or just broader coverage is a huge plus for future expansion. Handling this speaker is surprisingly easy. It's designed to be portable, and the handle feels comfortable and secure in my hand. What I particularly love is the flexibility in how you can position it. I've already used it standing straight up, tilted back slightly on the floor for better projection upwards, and even placed it like a wedge monitor. Knowing I can also mount it on a standard 35mm speaker pole covers just about any setup scenario I can think of. Finally, it just looks professional. It's got a clean design, and little details like the soft green fluorescent rubber on the handle (which adds a nice grip as well) and the modern blue indicator lights give it a stylish edge. It doesn't look out of place at any event. Overall, I will say that the Y1X-120 feels like a really well-rounded portable PA. It delivers on sound clarity, battery freedom, easy connectivity, and fantastic setup versatility. For DJs, musicians, presenters, or just anyone needing reliable, powerful sound on the go, this speaker seems like a solid choice based on my experience with its features. ... show more

Great sounding speaker compared to some of the popular name brands. Plenty of inputs to plug in mics instrument and al stream a BT device. It also came with a storage bag I'm reducing one star because the mic is terrible. You will need an external mixer to make this sound great.

A very high quality sound and a lot of power I had the ever 8 and the Bosé pro +, but I feel that this sound is very superior you don't need more speakers with one enough birds I have to lower the volume because it sounds very loud. I recommend it 100% you won't regret it.

Wow! What a great sounding little box. I am a mobile DJ and was looking for a battery option for ceremonies, and distant filler sound reinforcement. This thing has plenty of power, and with a little EQ adjustment the sound is crisp and full with an unexpected level of bass response. The Bluetooth pairs seamlessly and I can see this as a great pick up and go party starter anywhere. Very satisfied, and the price is great for such a long lasting battery. One negative would be I wish it came with an app to eq it rather than having to adjust my entire phone sound to hit the eq just right. Additionally the "linking" of two of these ONLY PLAYS THE BLUETOOTH INPUT! That costs two stars. After linking the two, it should play either of the 1 or 2 xlr combo inputs but WILL NOT! That's a terrible problem. If speaker one has something plugged into either of the plugged inputs even after the 2 speakers are successfully "linked" do not expect it to play either input....booo ... show more

I purchase 2 of them and returned my Bose. The clarity and sound are very clear. I use a mixing board with them for ceremonies. I also added the Rockville dual 8” sub. Take a good guest how it sounds now!!!!! Great buy over Bose. Save some $$$$$! Good quality and well built.
