  • Good set of starter pedals
Bought these for a flight simulator rig I was putting together, they work well for their purpose. However, if you’re going to be flying helicopters I wouldn’t recommend them. The spring inside cannot be decoupled entirely for floating use the way you need them to. For a plane, you’ll probably be okay. But even with the spring tension turned down they’re still very bouncy. Don’t quite feel as good as you might want it to. Also, they do require a bit of force, so be prepared to somehow anchor them to the floor. If you have a wood floor, The rubber feet supplied don’t really hold them that well. I ended up making some custom brackets to hold them in place, which was the only way it worked. Given these are plastic and very much feel that way, eventually I’ll step up to a set of mechanical pedals, but these will do for now. Considering I’ll likely be able to sell them to someone else later on, very good value for the money imo! ... show more

  • Works with x-plane 11 in Linux (Ubuntu 18.04)
These are definitely the way to go! First of all, they DO WORK WITH X-PLANE 11 ON LINUX (Ubuntu 18.04). Xp11 recognizes then and all axes work right out the box. Unlike other pedals on the market, these offer a wider, more natural stance instead of having your feet cramped together. They are also adjustable which really makes all the difference. It really sucks trying to use differential braking when your toes are hanging several inches over the end of the pedal. With these you can make them longer or shorter depending on your shoe size. You can also adjustable the tension of the rudder to suit your preference. No other pedals offer that as far as I'm aware. Now for the bad. They don't want to stay where you put them. as soon as you push one of the pedals the whole thing will slide across the floor unless you have them resting against something or secured to the floor. They do come with a couple strips of Velcro as well as some feet with holes to bolt them down but that won't work in every situation. For example on a carpet floor the velcro won't stick and most people aren't going to want to put some screws in their floor. so it takes a little bit of ingenuity to get them firmly planted on the ground all in all, I would have to say these are the best affordable pedals out there and would recommend them to a friend. Also keep in mind that many flight schools are using these exact pedals. if legitimate, accredited flight schools use these for training, then they're definitely good enough for me! ... show more

  • They are VERY LOUD and kills immersion. Good for the price range with a few issues. Mod needed.
I've had a Saitek stick going back to the X45. 19 years later decided to give rudders a go. They work pretty good and I say pick up a set if the other options are too expensive. There are some issues though. They wont stick to anything. These are a bolt down or butt up against something deal. I've got a Next level rig they will go on after I rebuild my desk area. Not a big deal. SOUND on the other hand. They are loud and I mean LOUD. You get a very loud and cheap sounding clack hitting the centering mechanism with normal use then all out double bangs has your start evading. Immersion goes right out the window. Your not going to be flying long before someone in your house comes in to find out what your banging over and over. It sounds cheap which doesn't help. Look up detent mod and kiss that warranty goodbye to fix the issue. For the price they are hard to beat. If you live alone and use headphones your good to go but everyone in your house will know when you are flying. I use sennheiser hd 700s and can hear the pedals because they are open stage. For now I can't use them when everyone is home but they work perfectly otherwise. Did I mention these are really loud? I can't find a good angle that lets me use the rudder without pushing the brakes making me think the rudders are pushed in further than they are. The engagement point is so far back on my heels I feel a bit of strain in the top of my foot a toes. I have big feet so all my toes hang off or curl around the top while flying with the pedals fully extended. I guess shoes might help but I'm not tossing my shoes on every time I want to fly. Honestly I could care less about the brakes so I plan to stop them from moving at all so I can use my whole food in a more comfortable way to push the rudder around. Hard to beat for the price though. I hope Logitech redesigns the X series sticks and rudders in the future. Not much has changed since they bought Saitek. So far changes seem more ascetic than functional upgrades. Keep in mind these are the first set of pedals I have owned so I can only compare them to what I have read in sim sites. ... show more

  • Very durable
I have had this item not for awhile. It had withstood a couple permanent change of stations (PCS) moves (Military). I actively use this almost every other day and weekend. Great value. Cant go wrong
