The keyboard is comfortable to type on with a nice palm rest, and the mouse is responsive and fits well in my hand. This is a replacement for another Logitech keyboard that had seen better days. I really like the feel of the keyboard … the keys have a slightly longer travel than many keyboard today, which is good for me. I don't like the low profile/low travel keyboards such as on laptops. Although not a mechanical keyboard, it does offer some tactile feedback which I really like. It has caps lock LED, and the on/off switch is conveniently located on the top right corner, rather than on the back, which is another plus for me. I did notice the missing dedicated "Sleep" function key which I had on previous Logitech keyboards, but with SetPoint software (you have to download from Logitech's website for free) you can re-assign F1, F2 and F4 keys to other function from a long list of choices, one of which is to put the computer into Sleep mode. A padded palm rest would have been nice rather than the hard plastic. That only seems to be available in higher end keyboards. The USB receiver dongle is NOT a unifying receiver, so will only work with this keyboard and mouse. The mouse that comes with the combo kit is just ok. Mouse functioned well, but I opted not to use it and keep my existing alternate mouse (MK 705) in service, which is still very good shape and has added functions. The mouse did feel and track good, I just wanted to keep the functions available in the MK 705. That model DOES use unifying receiver so downside is I have to use two separate receivers for my setup, which is not a big deal. The layout of the keyboard is what I likes best since it is more like the standard legacy layout. Overall, and for the price, I would highly recommend this keyboard, unless you like the lighter touch/low travel keyboards such as you find on laptops. ... show more

I usually go crazy for Logitech products but this one was pretty much fine. I bought this with an MX master 2s and that mouse is great. I bought this because it was a really good price point and I figured I could use the mouse as a travel mouse and use the MX as my office set up. When I pulled the keyboard out and started using it felt cheaper than expected. This keyboard and mouse just feel better in the hands than the wireless HP ones that they replaced. The keyboard feels heavier and sturdier, and the 2 and ¹/₈ inch (~5.4 cm) hand rest that extends along the bottom edge makes keeping it in place while typing easier. The mouse has a concave ridge around the sides, providing secure places to hold it between the thumb and ring fingers. It remains to be seen if the single AA battery in the mouse will last as the two in the HP mouse, but the light that tracks movement in the Logitech mouse is imperceptible compared to the bright red one in the HP mouse, so it probable is more energy efficient. ... show more

This is a replacement for the one hat I bought 6 months ago. The keyboard stopped working. Only used it on my desktop. Just stopped working. The new one is working just fine as did the original. Like the unit enough (great value) that I am giving it a second chance.
