I'm long time user of Logitech G502 mice. I use the Proteus Spectrum variant at both home and work for years now. It's a mouse that as it turns out suites me just about perfectly. Late last year, I bought a new gaming laptop for personal use. It wasn't going to replace my desktop or anything, but it was something I could take on trips with me. I decided that I should probably get a mouse to go with it eventually. Another G502? Yep. The Proteus Spectrum is a wired mouse, and I decided a wireless variant was going to be the way to go for the laptop. The X Plus looked pretty sweet, but I'm not spending that kind of money on mouse that I'm only going to be using a couple times a year. So the Hero Wireless made the cut; Reasonable price and it's pretty close to what I'm used to already. Size-wise it's about the same as any other G502 variant, it's got adjustable weights, though due to packaging constraints, there's not as much adjustability there as there is on the wired versions. I like a weighty mouse, and I can using the included weights I can almost get the wireless G502 to the heft of the wired version. Build quality seems to be similar to the wired Proteus Spectrums I have, but the scroll wheel seems a bit less robust/substantial. The only hiccup I had was with the software. The G-Suite really likes to give you an on screen notification for any on-the-fly adjustments you make. This includes changing the DPI sensitivity, if you make multiple adjustments in short period of time, you're going to get pop up notations non-stop for the next few minutes. Mercifully you can turn those off. Battery charge speed isn't exactly fast. It took about ~18-20 hours to charge all the way up using a USB 3.0 port on my desktop. But battery life seems to be quite good. After 2-3 hours of use the battery life hasn't even dropped a single bar yet. Connectivity is easy as can be. Just plug in the USB lightspeed receiver, turn on the mouse (power switch is on the bottom) and go. No real complaints on this mouse, the one I got was a refurb, and it was advertised as such. It still came with the OEM cables and documentation, the factory plastic peels were still there was well.

I've never been a fan of most "gaming mice" but this one is great. Adjustable weight, very accurate sensor and the lag is so minimal my human eyes and brain couldn't possibly notice. The wireless charging dock is a gimmick, but when charging it wired, it charges 50% or more in like 2 minutes. I game daily, and I charge about once a month? Maybe every 5 weeks. I highly recommend this mouse specifically for a great gaming and all-around use mouse.

So, I know a lot of you might be thinking about buying this mouse and sure have doubts on wether this renewed item was good or not and to answer your question, yes its so very good. This product has an overall 4 ish star rating and I can agree because the battery life is as good as new. (Although I might say the wire to charge is quite stiff and so i recommend you charge it overnight instead of day.) The DPI is very customizable. For gaming (as most people use this for) its pretty good. My one concerns is that the mouse buttons (left and right click) width is too small and so when I click its pretty difficult. Logitech gaming software... ah yes. Its ok. I tried downloading this software on my Mac Mini M1 to test and it didn't download and was stuck on 99% all the time. Unfortunately its a common problem and even if you look on the internet, you might still not find the answer to your problem. I couldn't fix it so I went for my Windows computer and it worked fine (except for some lag but its very minor). For all you Mac users, this is a red flag and so make sure you know your software works before you try buying this mouse in general. Overall I would rate this a 4 star review and I don't want to scare you buyers but this is a really good choice for this specific mouse at such a great price. I hope this review helped you a bit!

Would buy again. Works while charging and goes along time between charges. Blinks red to let you know it is low so if it dies it is your fault. Goes to sleep when not using and super fast to turn on. The wheel is good quality and the button for hyper scroll is super convenient. The changeable weights are proprietary shape but is a nice touch that changes it from super light to heavy enough to create drag on your pad. The extra buttons are convenient but don't use much except the sensitive buttons to increase or decrease on the fly. No need to upgrade ever

TLDR: this is a dusty, cheaply made, overpriced "wireless" mouse with a convoluted setup. I was hoping to get a mouse that would connect via Bluetooth so that I could use my USB ports for other things, and this item in the product description said it was Bluetooth compatible. I was immediately turned off by the packaging and how this brand new mouse was covered in dust right out of the box. The mouse also felt incredibly cheaply put together, was a bit smaller than expected, and was less comfortable than my current mouse (which I got for like $10). As I sat down to hook it up to my computer, the instructions were completely incomprehensible and only included a link that went to the webpage to download their desktop app (because apparently every device we buy now requires an app to download). The app had nothing with regard to setting up the device, so I had to go through their chatbot to get the actual instructions for setting up the product. The chatbot was about as efficient as any other chatbot (not good). The instructions made no mention of Bluetooth capability and basically said that a USB port was required for the mouse to function. But not only that, it said that for the mouse to perform at its highest capacity, you need to plug in a whole cord into your computer that will then wirelessly connect to the mouse. What is the point of a cordless mouse if you still have to plug in a cord for the wireless to function properly? I will be promptly returning this mouse.

Product was received and was essentially brand new. All items were in the box and with all of the protective plastic still on. Cannot guarantee yours will end up the same way, but I could not tell that my mouse was used ever. Quality of the mouse is stellar, with the only pain point being that there is no bluetooth connectivity, a dated Micro-USB charging port and no way for the mouse to turn off after being inactive as far as I can tell. Software to customize the mouse doesn't require any accounts to be made like for Razer products. Mouse-wheel is also customizable to be freely spinning or ratcheted which I thought was really nice.

When i first started gaming, i played on a SteelSeries WoW Legendary mouse. I loved it, fit the hand perfectly, and had just the right amount of buttons that your fingers could rock to, to reach. That mouse is now a collectors item and i can't afford it. But the G502 series, both wired and wireless (same build in terms of size) is the next best thing. Two easy buttons next to the left click that your finger can easily rock to, your thumb is rested next to the three additional buttons making it easy to press them. This mouse is perfect for anyone with normal to smaller size hands. The weights included with it allow it to be custom adjusted to almost anyone's preference. I really hope 10 years from now, unlike the WoW mouse, i'll still be able to buy this one. The contours to the hand are perfect and allow you to natural rest your hand on it without any extra "stretching" of the fingers to reach any of the buttons.
