  • Don't buy - keys break easily
Style: G413 Carbon
This is a super cool keyboard - love how it looks and feels ... but don't buy it - poor design. I am not a gamer (so, I'm not hard on the keys) and I take very good care of my stuff. I bought my first Logitech G413 and it lasted 9 months and the CTRL key came loose one day and i lifted it to see that keys are held only with four very thin pieces of plastic that tab into another piece of plastic. All four had sheared off so even though keyboard comes with replacement keys it doesn't matter because when they break you can't remove the broken tabs so you can't snap in a new one. Since I loved everything about the keyboard and I thought maybe it was just a freak accident I ordered another one and ... that one lasted 7 months until exact thing happened. Again - I'm not hard on keyboards at all so a huge design flaw. I spoke with my tech company and they recommended Corsair, MSI or Das Keyboard. So - goodbye Logitech! ... show more

  • Great Keyboard
Style: G413 Carbon
Overall this is an awesome keyboard. Not as fantastic and wonderful as the most high end keyboards, but I like this better than my Corsair K70 Lux. ==== Pros ==== - It's sleek and compact which I enjoy (I'm not a fan of the big, bulky keyboards). - The lighting is great (steady, true to color) - The keys are easy to pop off, clean, and place back on. - I haven't really had any ghosting (I can recall like twice a key ghosted which is way better than the Corsair K70 Lux I had). - The Logitech switches are super quiet compared to Cherry Browns (yes, more quiet than Cherry Browns). - Actuation pressure is good, typing is easy and smooth. - I haven't noticed a difference in any input delay between this and my Corsair. - Pretty rugged (I may have dropped the keyboard from standing height onto a hard wood floor by accident and it endured just fine) ==== Cons ==== - No onboard memory - Keys get dirty pretty quick - The Logitech software sets the keyboard to breathe when you exit it, so you have to force quit it through Task Manager if you want to keep the static color, but don't want to have to be running the Logitech software all the time. ... show more

  • Why i won't buy a logitech keyboard again
Style: G413 Carbon
Do your future self a favor, just buy a keyboard that uses cherry switches. Not wanting to pay to use superior cherry switches, logitech developed romer switches which replace the stiff central stem from cherry with 4 thin, flimsy 'fins' which after a while begin to snap off leaving the broken fin in the receiver. The result is keys become unstable as they're only supported in 3,2 or 1 fin - finally all 4 break and the keyboard is now ruined. The key cap has no stem, and the receiver has 4 plastic fins jammed into it which are impossible to remove. In short, romer switches are designed to fail after a year or two - a good mechanical keyboard should last decades. ... show more

  • The E button registers twice. Logitech Gaming Software sucks.
Style: G413 Carbon
I bought this keyboard because I liked the minimalistic design and have had good luck with Logitech products. I don't care for the RGB gimmicks that are popular now. The biggest complaint I had with it was with the Logitech Gaming Software , not the keyboard. It defaulted to the "breathe" setting on the keyboard, which I didn't want. I wanted to be able to see the key backlighting at all times. I would turn off the "breathe" effect in the software, and then find the keyboard set back to "breathe" after rebooting. Now here's the bad thing. I decided to uninstall the Logitech Gaming Software and reinstall, hoping to solve this minor annoyance. I ended up with a blue screen error that would pop up about 30 seconds consistently after every single reboot. Couldn't figure out how to fix it and ended up having to reinstall Windows. Needless to say, I'm not installing the Logitech Gaming Software again. Without the software installed the backlighting is constant. Now I've had the keyboard for about a month and the e button is registering twice when pushed once. So wheen I typee it teends to comee out likee this. Needless to say, I'm getting rid of it. Every cheapo membrane keyboard I've had in the last 20 years has lasted longer. One final minor complaint: there is no wrist rest and the keyboard has a slightly sharp lower edge. Edit 2/13/19: Now the WW key is failing. The Romer switches seem to be a probleem. ... show more

  • It's built like a tank
Style: G413 Carbon
Received this keyboard today. If there's durability issues, I'll update this review accordingly, but I don't see that being a problem. It's built like a tank. It's got enough weight to it that it's not easy to move on the desk, which I like. This is the most tastefully designed gaming keyboard I've ever seen. It's beautiful in it's simplicity. I really like the clean layout. I even like that the keys float above the board instead of being recessed into it since that'll keep it from retaining a lot of dust. Even the slight LED backlight bleeding under the keys adds to the aesthetic, adding a subtle glow underneath the keys. I love the switches on this thing. They actuate very cleanly, and are quieter than other mechanicals I've tried. They can also be used more quietly if you're gentle since they actuate so early. Typing and gaming don't require much force on this board, and I really like that. It's still louder than a membrane keyboard, but not significantly. I feel more like I'm lightly touching the keys than pressing them. That's a significant improvement over my old membrane keyboard. All in all, I'd say this keyboard is a steal at the $65 I picked it up at, and I'd recommend it to anyone that types a lot. If you're just casually gaming, I would save the money. ... show more
