I am a new streamer and was looking for a good starting cam to get going with. This cam is by far the best one I looked at when considering which to buy. The price was great also a plus. When I received the cam it was packaged well with no room for it to bounce around and get damaged in transit. This camera is plug and play. Meaning plug it in to a USB 3.0 and it is ready to go. Gives a great picture for a streamer. Although if I were to do a close up of myself then it does get a little pixelated. The software for the camera is very user friendly. Just remember when you are using the tilt and pan features that the camera is in reverse lol. Overall a great buy.     • I recommend it and I searched all over the place
I posted a question on the forum about whether it could be plugged into a docking station and folks were very helpful. In my case, it works perfectly plugged into my docking station. I use my laptop as the PC and did not want more wires showing. The camera quality is very clear compared to the camera on my laptop. Make sure your light comes from behind the camera and above it if possible for best results. Open bright natural light from a window is best behind a computer with a camera especially if the bottom half is blocked so that light comes in above the camera to cut down on glare from glasses give the best angle and light . ... show more

    • Supposed to be the best webcam, I'm not sure
Video is top notch. Sound quality is where I have some concern. Full disclosure, I'm using this to live stream a bible class where the speaker is sometimes 10 feet or so from the camera. In that situation the audio is not high end. I've had to buy a separate mic in both cases (oh, I've purchased two of these using them similarly). I had one teacher trying to prerecord lessons on an older laptop and the laptop couldn't keep up. It is probably because his laptop had USB2.0 ports only. So, if that's your situation you might hesitate. The camera is sending high quality video and older equipment may struggle. The result was odd clipping noises and cut outs in the recorded product. Interesting the resolution was to buy a cheap (but new) Chromebook with USBC and it handles recording and streaming from this camera fine. Four stars because there may be a better option at a much better price, I just don't have experience with anything else so I wanted to be cautious. ... show more

    • Really high quality but has a learning curve.
I only wish it was more obvious how you get the most out of this webcam. You could just plug it in but the quality just won't be there. You have to basically download one of the many logitech programs (it's not obvious which one). Once you figure out it's the "Logitech Capture" then you have to figure out how to use it as a virtual camera to be used with other tools. I've never had a webcam until this one so this was all new to me. If I could figure it out then anyone could. Just took several more steps than I thought it would. I'm sure there are many videos on how to do this but I'm impatient/lazy and most other people probably are as well. ... show more

After installing this on my Dell laptop, the difference in the image quality is easy to see and is remarkable! Clear and sharp even in low light. And Logictech has software which you can download to adjust brightness, aspect ratio and other settings. But I allow myself to get sucked into the Amazon habit and spent $16 more for this than necessary. When I went to the Logictech site to download the software, they had it for $199 with free shipping.     • Fantastic with lighting challenges
I redid my office and do podcasts and interviews quite a bit. I owned an older Logitech Webcam and had a lot of lighting issues since I have two large monitors in front of me. I didn't want to go through the setup and expense of buying a DSLR, I just wanted a webcam. This webcam is adjustable and does an amazing job of adjusting for less glare. Upgrading from a 920C , this has no hiccups in windows 10 or Logitech G-Hub. It was immediately recognized, and performed with absolute style and clarity. Picture was amazing, and noise canceling and feedback was never a issue on Zoom, or Skype. During these times , talking with family you don't want your camera freezing up, or just not being compatible with windows 10 or the new G-Hub software. Great buy.
