  • Looove this microphone!!
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
This microphone was AMAZING! It is super sturdy and versatile. Whether I'm singing, recording my voice or sound meditations or my son is playing a game-they are PERFECT!! With just a few setting changes, the background noise (except for the occasional loud random noise) was gone. I can't recommend this microphone enough! It motivates me to create more content just to use it more. Perfection! ... show more

  • Very good for the price
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
It works very well. It's not ASMR quality but definitely one of the better mics. I am more than satisfied. I would show you a video but showing people audio quality can be hard when their own speakers/headphones can effect the quality.

  • Uses USB Type-B Mini connector plug cable.
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
3-Star Review is a neutral review because I didn't not use this microphone. My review is based on the cable that comes with this microphone. I purchased this Yeti Blue microphone because I had used it in the past. I used to use this microphone in the early 2010s for live streaming on JustinTV from 2012-2013. This microphone uses a USB Type-B Mini connector, officially referred to as "Standard-B connectors", USB Type-B Mini plugs are square with slight rounding or large square protrusion on the top, depending on the USB version. This appears to be 1.1 or 2.0 and not the blue 3.0 version. I had hoped that the microphone has been updated to use more modern cable connectors, but I was wrong. USB Type-B Mini connectors are still in use, but at primary limited to the camera industry. However, all of my Sony DSLR cameras have USB Type-B Micro ports. I simply do not have any other devices that use a USB Type-B Mini cable and don't care to start with this microphone. Unfortunately, this microphone will not work for me, because I am not interested in having several different types of cables. The world is migrating towards the USB Type–C as a universally standardized cable connector. I am slowly weeding out any device that cannot support USB Type–C. I remember that it is a good microphone, so no hate to the quality of the device itself. It's just not for me based on my personal needs. ... show more

  • The pretentious YouTubers are right
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
So I did a great deal of research before buying this Blue Yeti Microphone, despite knowing it as a universal favorite and what everyone seemed to point to when it came to professional audio quality. Consequently I was SHOCKED to see all these self-proclaimed audio experts regard this mic as literal trash. According to them, it barely holds up in the modern day in comparison to other mics in its price range. Simply put, it’s just outdated… Its audio quality is average, attributable to its noticeably cheap internal build. I heard all of these warnings, yet my stubborn self still bought the mic because I figured the sales numbers don’t lie. It was a huge mistake. First of all, the number of issues I had in the initial setup ruined the experience from the start. It was a pain to get the knobs on the sides tight enough to keep the mic securely at the right angle. Then it took a solid 20 minutes to successfully connect the mic to the Logitech software without any error messages. Then when I started recording tests the quality was so wildly inconsistent, sometimes it would sound relatively normal and other times my voice would peak and cut out frequently. Eventually I did get everything to work properly, but the results were still disappointing. Without any adjustments, this mic records EVERYTHING. The background noise is very apparent even with the gain on the lowest setting. Also, the blue voice software presets are absolutely terrible at their default settings, I don’t know who’s voice it was designed for but definitely not mine. I have to adjust everything just to hear something competent, but even then it’s not good because the base recording itself isn’t. I found that I enjoyed the sound of my budget mic better, which is absurd. I ultimately returned the Blue Yeti. Now- could I have possibly created a decent sound after sound treating my room and spending hours finding the best settings in the software? Probably. But it’s not worth it… I shouldn’t have to put in so much work to try to reach the same sound of my other mic that is less than half the price. If there’s anything you take away from this, just know that this mic is NOT plug-and-play, and it’s not as good as it was in 2016. There are better mics out there in 2023. ... show more

  • Bad software experience, dips in the mid frequencies
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
Overall good frequency response, but unlike the AT2020, this has a dip in the middle frequencies. Signal processing is needed to make this sound more true to life. One definitive plus for this microphone, though, is the physical gain control. It's much easier to remove noise and start with a clean signal on this microphone than it is on the AT2020. The biggest issue is the software. Enabling Blue Voice allowed for cool effects but would often cause my output signal to vary wildly in volume. Whatever signal processing was going on there, either my computer or the software did not like it. This made the microphone a glorified paper weight. Disabling the software usually fixed the problem, but not always. At one point I did have to uninstall the Logitech software to remedy the issue. ... show more

  • Sweeeeeet
Color: Blackout Style: Gaming Microphone Pattern Name: Microphone
I paid a few pretty pennies over the years for different Mike’s. I should’ve bought this one a long time ago. Fantastic all around. A tiny little bit manual Dungy with the other options due to the sound would have been nice. But that’s a manufactures problem.
