I've been using the Blue Yeti for over a month. It's works and sounds great for a budget microphone. The mic and it's stand are composed of metal giving them a high quality feel. I prefer to mount my microphone which is why being able to mount it on a mic arm is a must have. Please note, you will need to download and install it's software if you want to obtain it's full audio quality. The raw audio input is a little bit of a let down, since it struggles to pick up your voice from a distance unless your practically breathing on it. The software does a great job fixing this plus it also allows you customize your Blue Yeti according to your specific voice. This mic however is quite visually large and bulky. Yet, a microphone arm is still able to lift it with a little wobble. Regardless, its still great value for the price. ... show more

The yeti is a good mic. It is designed for YouTube creation or gamer streaming. Would I use it in a recording studio for music? Probably not. There are much better music recording studio mics out there by far. However, for YouTube and streaming content, I highly recommend the yeti. If you were at home and doing music recording for the first time or just putting together demos at home, you could absolutely use this product. If you’re looking for a beyond high end, perfect recording studio microphone, this would not be the product. Realize that the microphone market is a very specific market. Can the $130 blue yeti microphone compete with a $1200 recording, studio microphone, or even more expensive, absolutely not. However, if you are on Amazon, looking to buy your first or even secret microphone, this is the perfect choice and I highly recommend it for what it’s designed to do. ... show more

Good mic but sort of clunky for smaller desks. Sound is good but lots of background static can still be heard, don’t like the feedback static so got a headset instead but quality is good
