This review is for your garden variety handy man. People who dont mind cheap tools, but appreciate quality when its a step above the cheapest. This set is that step above. This is that mix of price and performance youre looking for - really hits that sweet spot. Trying to use these professionally everyday? Need these for a singular, consistently abusive purpose? Maybe a tool snob? These are nice, but look elsewhere. TEETH DURABILITY: I really put them to the test while disassembling some 1970's water spigots earlier today. Those who have done this before will know the struggle and the muscle required. Although the spigots were primarily copper, I included photos of the teeth because they *really* held up under abuse. I mean like.. I really destroyed/rounded off/clamped down super hard on these spigot surfaces and the teeth show negligable amounts of marring. You can even see where teeth took some of the metal with it. And some of the surfaces just arent as "crisp" as they were, but really im nitpicking this detail. This doesnt concern me with future uses, not at all. RUBBER GRIPS: Didnt disappoint either - very comfy and didnt budge when applying 100% of my strength at awkward angles. But the bottom rubber grip is more vulnerable to awkwards grip angles so keep that in mind. I do recommend this set, thanks for reading my review, i hope it helps.

As always I feel that you get what you pay for. However I use these for jobs that don’t require the best quality tool. And they are more than adequate for what I use them for. And they are a great price. And they work very well for general purposes. If I was still working as a professional every day. I would still purchase them for clamps and welding.

These are built to take some abuse! I didn't directly store these in the tool cupboard and inadvertently left them in the living room. Oops. It took a week for us to stop playing with them -- attaching them to tables, table or chair legs, couch arms, etc. Whatever we could clamp, we did. Or, just mindlessly treated them like fidget toys while watching TV: locking and unlocking them. All the clicking finally got to me and I put them away. They are strong with excellent grip, holding fast without any hint of possible failure. There are a few angles/edges that aren't perfectly aligned, but nothing that would affect or hinder their function. Also, the assortment is so handy! I didn't even know I needed the flat plate grip or the little 5" grip! I've only ever had and used the standard 7"-ish pairs -- usually gifts or handoffs from mechanics in the family. But, these are great! They hold their own and more!

These pliers are not the top of the line and may not last forever or be able to take the punishment I have put my top-of-the-line vise grips through. But they are well designed and appear solid and ready to go to work. Some of the reviews on here are knocking off stars and giving bad reviews because they are assuming they will fail not because they failed. You know what they say about assuming. You get 6 locking pliers for the cost you could pay for one large top of the line locking plier. These are designed well and function as desired. One review said they would not lock. I can't see how all 6 pair would not lock unless it is a training issue. All 6 pair I got work correct. I got these mostly for the needle nose, sometimes you need to reach into a small space and grip tightly to complete the job. These do that as expected. Needle nose can get twisted because they are smaller at the tips but with care this should not be an issue. I think this is a great set and well worth the small cost for such an assortment. If you are just starting your collection of tools this will get you outfitted for most jobs quickly and cost effectively.

Definitely not bad but certainly not great. Some of them has a little bit of sponge feel when squeezing the handles...maybe it's fine but doesn't feel great. I wouldn't use these for heavy duty situations for sure.
