  • Fantastic gadget as a catalyst for curiosity and discovery! ๐Ÿ‘
Having the chance to try out this LINKMICRO LM112 Microscope with my 9 y/o son, I can't help but be impressed. As someone always on the lookout for intriguing and educational gadgets for my son , this portable digital microscope caught my attention so I ordered it. And apparently it has also gotten my son's attention too. Weighing only 130g, it's like having a scientific tool in your pocket, ready for spontaneous explorations. My son carries it in his backpack where ever he goes and I admit, it's great to see him explore just about everything in his surroundings. This is a fantastic gadget to bring a natural sense of curiosity out of kids. The 2-inch LCD screen provides a surprisingly clear view, magnifying up to 500X. I found myself captivated by my son's captivation of the microscopic world, and the handheld design makes it easy to navigate and it is extremely easy to use. The fact that it's operable with one hand is a huge plus, especially for those impromptu moments when you stumble upon something fascinating. The thumb control focus wheel is super smooth to operate and precise. The battery life and quick charging via the Type-C port make it reliable for outdoor adventures. I appreciate the flexibility of connecting it to a computer for data transfer, adding a layer of convenience of not having to insert and remove the included 32GB microSD card that it comes with. Now, the extras truly add to the overall package. The compact carrying case is sturdy and well made... 5 microscope slides it comes with really show off this microscopes power and abilities... slides holder makes it nice and hand free when viewing the slides and the added 32GB SD card is quite the thoughtful addition too. It's evident that LINKMICRO designed this with young explorers in mind, encouraging scientific curiosity in a practical and engaging way. But I guarantee you adults will also enjoy this well made Microscope! All in all, the LINKMICRO LM112 is more than a gadget; it's a catalyst for curiosity and discovery. And as a father, I'm blessed that my son gets into these kinds of gadgets etc... Whether you have a child that's a budding scientist or just kids who are keen on uncovering the hidden world around them, this microscope is a delightful tool for exploration. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a touch of wonder to their kids adventures... and adults too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ... show more

  • A great digital microscope kit that isn't super expensive
The product page for this item has it listed as a "Digital Microscope" and even has the words "for kids" in the description. I do have to disagree with this description as this is more like a Digital Microscope KIT and it can be for adults just as well. The kit comes with a fairly nice hard-shelled case that zips up. Inside the case you can find the digital microscope, a plastic container holding multiple pre-loaded and labelled slides, a plastic base that can hold the microscope upright and has a slot where the slides can be inserted, a USB C cord, a 32gb micro SD cards, a pair of plastic tweezers, and 2 other plastic containers. The microscope itself is actually pretty impressive for it's price point. One thing everyone will notice immediately is that it has a screen on the microscope itself. The screen can be tilted so that it can be viewed at multiple different angles. The screen can be brightened or dimmed. Also, the microscope has a threaded insert so that it can accept threaded inserts from tripods. The microscope also accepts micro SD cards due to the microscope's ability to take pictures as well as record video. The zoom on this microscope is a digit zoom so the up and down arrows to zoom in or zoom out. There is, though, a manual focus that has to be manually manipulated. This thing is really cool. My ONLY real complaint is just the fact that the body is made of all plastic. It has a "cheap" kind of feel to it, though, it has held up so far with all of the use and abuse I've put it through. The plastic body is not a deal breaker because they obvious are able to charge a cheaper price. I definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Nice microscope set for younger people or beginners
This is a decent digital microscope set with a nice storage case to keep it all together. There is a slot in the case for the included slides. The slides are also nicely packed in a plastic box which protects them in storage. This comes with everything you need including an SD card to store stills and video. You can take photos and video directly with the press of a button. The microscope works well and there is no real learning curve to get started. It is easy to use. My only complaint is that there are some strange artifacts when out of focus like dust or something in the lens. I am not sure what it is. But those do go away when focused on an object. ... show more

  • Easy to use toy microscope for kids- just wish it had more slides
First of all, this is a toy for kids. Yes, it magnifies items, but, don't expect it to be equivalent to the one you used in biology lab in college. That's not what this is. Now, what this is, is a much more convenient to use toy microscope than the one you got for Christmas when you were 7 that took ten minutes of adjusting to see something for a moment until your younger sibling bumped it and you had to start over getting it all adjusted again. This is a much easier to use version of that, but, still just something for kids to have fun with. As a tool to get interested in the much smaller things around us, this is great. I was mildly disappointed because it said 500X but that's largely accomplished digitally rather than optically. I went into it sort of hoping it would be like using the bio lab microscope, but, it's not quite that level of detail. Though, of course it isn't, it's way more affordable than that. It is really easy to use though. Slide in a slide and then just turn the cylinder focus until it's not blurry. Super easy. You will want more slides for it though as just a few come with it. ... show more
