The goal in buying these was to buy a pair of manicure scissors that would be able to cut nails, including toenails. The manicure scissors I've had for 40 years. It's been almost impossible. These are pretty dang close. The finger loops (or whatever they are called) are larger and the tip is slightly more pointed and the scissor area is a bit narrower but much of this could just be due to the years since mine were made. They are very nice. I tried them on an area and they cut without issue. I expect them to be great since they do not appear or feel cheap in anyway. Can't imagine these wouldn't work for anyone looking for this type of product. So happy to finally find some like they made so many years ago. ... show more

I was torn between giving these scissors 3 or 4 stars; 3.5 is where I would have landed if that was possible. I'm not an expert on manicure tools but I am a long time needle worker (embroidery, beading, sewing, etc.) so I'm quite familiar with the quality spectrum of various kinds scissors. In my opinion, these nail scissors are overall a good quality for the price. However, they're not of the caliber to last a lifetime so keep browsing if that's what you're looking for ;-) The scissors are very nicely packaged; they're held securely in a custom die-cut foam insert inside of a slim, metal 2-piece box (see pic). Total length is approx. 3 5/8" from top to tip; the finger holes are elongated circles with internal measurements of 11/16" wide x approx. 1" high. Anyone with very large hands/fingers or with arthritis/swollen knuckles may find these scissors painful or difficult to use. The blades are very sharp; the cutting action is somewhat stiff initially. I'm dubious as to whether these scissors are adequate for pedicure purposes - I think they're not, if one is dealing with very thick or very hard toenails. I did a lot of searching before purchasing these scissors and I'm satisfied with them. I was looking for a sturdy, well-made pair of budget nail scissors, and these fit the bill for me. ... show more
