Perfect Phone for Grandparents – Simple and Reliable!
I couldn’t be happier with the Jitterbug Smart4! These phones are incredibly easy to set up and navigate, thanks to their simple and intuitive interface. My grandparents were able to use them with minimal guidance, which was a huge relief. Lively's customer service was also fantastic—they helped me set up a "family plan" deal when I called them, making it even more affordable to get one for each grandparent. A note for tech-savvy buyers: while the phone runs a full Android OS with an easy-to-use skin, a few apps don't seem compatible with this model (TCL). Some apps have generic Android versions that work fine, but others only support Samsung or iPhone. Despite this, the phone is perfect for its intended audience. The Lively LINK app is an added bonus, providing great peace of mind by keeping us connected and informed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a user-friendly phone for a senior loved one!

It's only for Jitterbug phones!
I have used Jitterbug for years. It's nice to find one cheaper.

No speed dial Misleading Unlimited Data. No refund on phone if returned
I purchased the Jitterbug phone for my sister and unfortunately it did not work out. The reason why I returned it was there is no speed dialing. To make a call it required 5 steps. And It was not possible to add a contact to the menu. I called to cancel the cell plan and they refused to refund the $68 or prorate it. I only had the phone for about a week and spent all that time trying to get the phone to work. You read all about how you have 30 days to try it out. I thought if it didn't work out I would not be charged for the monthly phone plan or it would be prorated. I feel this is misleading. And I have been taken advatage of. There are a lot of other problems. Unlimited Data Unlimited data plan slows down after 20 gb. From 300 mg to 128 kb. It crawls. And if you think 20 gb is a lot it is not. My sister is in a nursing home, their wifi is always down and she uses between 35 - 40 gb a month. Just playing games. No video, no music just games. Setup: It took more than 2 hours to setup the phone. Activation took 40 mins. They would not contact me directly to an agent to help me set up the phone. I had to wait 15 mins while they reset the phone. I had to call back 3 times each time I had to wait 15 mins then call back. I was also disconnected once. After an hour I finally reached an agent who was great, Diane, she remotely accessed my phone and did a great job. the call lasted 68 mins. Factory Resets: I had to do 2 factory restarts. This is when the phone is comepletly wiped. And you have to start all over again. One time it was because of an update. One time my sister got to a blank screen, I don't know how she did it, and the home key would not work. Restart did not help. I had to do a factory reset. The phone is 4g not 5g. You might be surprised, but this does make a difference. I don't write reveiws, positive or negative but I am so upset. I write this reveiw to help you in your research find a good phone for your love one.

Great program for us old people, few problems, hard to get in touch with customer service, Urgent Response good idea, but too easy to accidentally hit the access button; false alarm, cancel quick.

Simple Senior-Friendly Phone with a Great Screen, but Inconsistent Performance
I purchased this phone mainly for its simplicity and large screen, and in those areas it does deliver. The display is easy to read, and the layout is very straightforward, which makes it especially suitable for seniors or anyone who prefers a no-fuss device. In terms of ease of use, setup was quick and navigation is simple enough without needing much technical knowledge. The size of the screen is definitely a strong point and makes everyday tasks more comfortable. However, performance and functionality are a bit inconsistent. At times the phone works as expected, but there are moments when responsiveness or reliability is not as strong as I would like. Call quality is also mixed—some calls come through clearly, while others are quieter or less reliable, which can be frustrating. Audio volume and message notifications could be improved as well, since important alerts are sometimes easy to miss depending on the environment. Overall, it’s a decent phone if your priority is simplicity and a large, easy-to-see screen, but the performance and consistency may not meet everyone’s expectations.

Excellent performance and value
I've been using this phone since December, and am very pleased with it. The camera is an upgrade over the Smart 3, which was my main reason for purchase. The phone has everything I need, and looks & works as well as the far more expensive brands. It is an amazing value for under $50, and I think more people should know about this. It's not necessary to spend $1K for a phone!

Really nice phone at an incredibly reasonable price. Had an issue setting up the voicemail that LIVELY's really helpful and pleasant customer service were unable to resolve so they sent a replacement phone that arrived in just a couple of days which I was able to setup without any issues. I bought this for my elderly mother who has never had a cell phone and whose only exposure to touch screen technology is ATMs and self-checkout-registers so wasn't sure how easy it would be for her to adjust to, but I am happy to say that she picked it up really quickly because the user interface is clean and simple and ideal for anyone who didn't grow up with touch screens, or I guess for anyone who doesn't enjoy scrolling through screens of tiny icons every time you want to do something on your phone. Overall, Really pleased with this phone.
