These are sort of like oversized chalk bags. The little pin fasteners that came with them are very light duty, and I decided that they were not reliable for my purposes. The bags themselves are great for holding your gear (rope and blocks in my case) and are easy to access with one hand. I'm not sure about the utility of the mesh pockets, but I suppose they are there in a pinch. I stuffed an access card in one, and it was still there 3 weeks later when I finally remembered I put it there...and it was going through a bouncy wet hell the whole time. Bought this in a hurry because I was taking a shotgun class and my last dump pouch was absolute garbage. This one ended up working out quite well for my needs. I was able to hold a couple boxes of shells easily, retrieve them easily, and move about as needed without worrying about it. I didn't use the clip, instead opting to belt mount it, and I really think that's the way to go. I can see this becoming a range regular for mags and loose rounds as well, along with anything else I need to quickly retrieve or dump. Good product! ... show more
