So I bought this watch because of its details, the established movement, the overall aesthetics, but I was very apprehensive as I usually don't buy 'microbrand' watches. I have Rolex, Tag, Breitling currently, and this purchase had a big 'gamble' component to it. I was 50/50 that I wasn't going to be impressed with it and ultimately return it. Well, I'm glad I bought it. This is a quality piece with good weight and a solid luxury feel. At the price point, this is a no brainer. I'm actually surprised that this brand, LIV, isn't more widely known/popular. This watch could very easily stand side by side with known brand watches with the same movement that costs 4x more. This one is a quartz, which i usually don't buy, but i will probably look at their line of automatics for a later purchase before these watches assume the price point they deserve, which is a few multiples of its present price. Oh, people have said it's a little hard to read the time, and I get that, but it's not a deal breaker. This is a straight up legit watch that could very easily be discussed in the same breath as Tag or Breitling. Good work, LIV... it can't be easy trying to break into this industry with so many established legacy brands out there. ... show more

I debated between Liv, Hamilton and Panzera for this watch purchase. They all offer this style watch with the black rubber band which I wanted for my next watch style.i went back and forth for weeks reading and watching reviews of these brands. They are all quality watches at this price range but something kept me coming back to the Liv watch. I love the detail and story of Liv. It is really tough to know what it going to look like and feel on your wrist until you have it in your possession and strap it to your arm. I can tell you that the Liv is everything everyone says about it. The detail, the size, and the weight is all perfect. I like a watch of 45-47 mm and this watch is perfect. The lines and layers of this watch are perfectly blended to create a beautiful time piece. The five year warranty is better than most so you know Chaz believes in his product. I am definitely a watch aficionado. I love them. I had seen the ads for the LIV line popping up on Facebook and Insta for awhile and so when I saw that the GX1 in signature orange was available as a "Try before you buy" purchase I jumped all over it. The watch showed up overnight and I was initially really impressed. The packaging was nicely done. Very nice. Too nice for my personal preference. I feel it is unnecessary and would rather have the watch at a lower price point with less frills in packaging. Nevertheless, the the watch itself was exceptional. Great looking on the wrist and definitely an eye-catcher. Very well made and all around solid. I would have LOVED this watch if it wasn't for the one big problem. It is VERY difficult to read the time. As ridiculous as this sounds, it's true. The hour and minute hands are very small and there is little contrast between them and the dial. The Chronograph hand is a very bright orange and easy to read but this only puts more of a spotlight on to the one major flaw in the design. I considered keeping this timepiece and taking it to my watch guy to have the hands replaced with something more visible. But in the end I thought it was too much trouble and ended up returning it to Amazon. I hope that this review makes it to Chaz and his crew at LIV and that it is taken as constructive feedback. I loved the watch but found it unusable as it was very difficult to read. Hopefully the next rev will have a higher contrast to the hands and if so, I will probably try again. ... show more

Watch delivery was delayed by FedEx, but that shouldn’t be held against LIV. The watch and packaging are comparable to watches at a higher price point. Please with the purchase to date.
