    • Really Nice Folding Pizza Peel
I used to own a full-sized pizza peel with the long wooden handle, but honestly, it was so long that I had to store it in the basement between uses, which wasn't the most convenient. When I gave it to my neighbors for their outdoor pizza oven, that left me scrambling to sneak hot pizzas out of the oven with my bare hands or an artfully placed spatula. Which didn't work so well. So when I had the chance to try this folding pizza peel, I jumped at it, hoping to save my scorched fingers and keep more pizza toppings from becoming permanently burned onto the floor of my oven. This pizza peel delivers (ha, ha) on all counts! Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to assemble the wooden handle onto the metal peel with a few twists of a knob and screw combo. At first I found the handle too wide for my hand, but then I realized I was attaching it wrong-way-up. So be sure to put the indented side facing down when you install it, which makes it much more comfortable to hold. The metal peel section is thick enough that it won't bend and flip your pizza onto the floor unexpectedly and large enough to support a good-sized pizza. The pizza cutter looks awesome, though I haven't used it yet since it's so big and may not justify how much kitchen real estate it takes up when I have other tools (e.g., kitchen shears) that will do the job. I had a wooden pizza peel previously. But after some use, the wood began to bow. This metal version is a much better option. It has a wooden handle, but can easily be taken off and cleaned separately. It also comes with a professional-grade pizza slicer. It's easy to manage and handle, strong and sturdy enough to hold pizza with confidence, and easily picks up and drops pizzas. I pizza slicer is far better than a traditional roller or any other variation. As a result, I've given away the multiple pizza cutters I had in the past.     • Great concept, dodgy implementation
This is a great tool in several aspects: - The handle is short enough to be useful in a standard kitchen. - It is well made. - Comes with an excellent pizza cutter that is a great size. - Packaged well with a protective coating on both sides of the peel for shipping. - Can be easily hung, stored flat, or stored against a cabinet wall. - The pizza cutter includes a protective casing that keeps the blade and fingers safe. It is a great addition to our kitchen as we were using a flat cookie sheet that didn't work half as well as this peel. The only drawback is the handle. I wish it were designed better. Rather than a pull-release mechanism to move the handle from folded to extended and back again, it has a big screw that has to be completely removed and screwed back in. This is annoying. I'm also concerned about stripping the threads as I have to go through this each time I take it out of the cabinet and put it back. There really is a lot going for this peel. Other than that one design flaw I would have given it 5 stars. Overall, I recommend this product. Being able to fit it into a cabinet with a shorter handle while in use is just too handy to not recommend. Just be aware that the big screw has to be removed and put back while extending or retracting the handle. ... show more

I love making pizza at home. I recently acquired a pizza stone, I needed a pizza peeler. Found this great peeler with a bonus pizza knife on Amazon, it's a good value, arrived very quickly and packaged really well. Pizza knife appears to be very nice and fits my large hands really well, also there is a cover for the blade of the knife. Pizza peeler comes with a wooden handle and nice metal screw to connect the handle to the stainless steel peel. Metal peel covered on both sides with a blue film to prevent the scratches, you have to peel it off before you use it. First time I used it other day and it worked really well. After baking the pizza, you can get it off of the stone easily and securely with this peel. I bake a pizza around 14"-16" pizzas, this peel works really well. Only thing puzzled me about the peeler is the folding feature claim. It's advertised as a folding pizza peeler, however it's not folding, basically you unscrew the main screw on the handle and twist the handle to the opposite direction and tighten the nut. Not a folding action. However this feature helps storing the peeler and works great. I think Seller needs the change the language from folding to twist handle. All in all this is a great set and I recommend it. ... show more

    • Doesn't assemble neatly
The pilot hole drilled for the bolt to attach the handle is slightly too small and slightly off-center. As a result, the handle does not attach securely, a situation I expect to get worse over the lifetime of this project. The individual components themselves are adequate, so it's possible this may not be a universal issue. ... show more

My boyfriend and I make our own homemade pizza all the time, but it's always a pain to transfer the dough onto the pizza stone. I got this hoping to make it easier. I love this pizza peel and pizza cutter set! It works well for cooking inside in the oven, and also on my Blackstone. It's easy to clean and store, and it makes homemade pizza so easy to do. This has a nice large handle on the Peel. The surface of the peel is pretty large which will handle most pizza's. The handle is attached with a screw and a knob which can be easily loosened for folding the handle when it is in storage. I put mine on the bottom drawer of my stove. The cutter is much nicer than the traditional wheel in my opinion. ... show more

    • Doesn't seem easy to use
I'd venture that this is my fault, but I can't seem to figure out how to get pizzas to slide on and off this thing. I've tried flour, corn starch, oil, and butter. The dough keeps sticking. What's the trick? As far as the storage, you practically have to take this completely apart to have the handle rotate into a storage configuration. What's the point? Might as well store it disassembled. Edit: My wife used this again and when going from storage to usage, the pin fell out. Now to use this, we have to crank the screw down hard and try not to put any side forces on this. Terrible design. ... show more
