We bought a much larger bike (based on his height) for my son’s 5th birthday. He didn’t know how to handle it and it was a discouraging experience. At 48” he had far outgrown his balance bike but it was too big a jump to the bike we had purchased. This balance to pedal bike may be a bit small for him but I wish we had bought this months ago! It took him two days to be pedaling independently. It’s heavy for a balance bike so I would not recommend this for a 2-3 yr old. But it’s absolutely perfect for a 3.5-5 yr old (6 if the child is on the smaller side). The pedals fold in a bit clumsily sometimes, but it’s worth a bit of hassle to not have to disassemble and reassemble or switch back and forth between two different bikes. I wish the seat had a bit more height but that’s really my only complaint ... show more

Since when did bikes start making wheels with smooth plastic? The wheels on this bike are so smooth that You can see in the picture that they are shining. So smooth like kitchen Tupperware. How is this bike safe in wet and sandy conditions? Where I’m from, our spring, winter, fall, and summer are wet and muddy, so this is not a safe option. Should be recalled ASAP ... show more

The training bike was the right size for our grandson to pedal with his feet- perfect for his age and physical development. Unfortunately, removing the pedals and maintaining the integrity of the pedals when removed was found to be challenging.
