I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday hoping that it would help with potty training. It did not. However, it did bring a significant amount of joy. The "poop" did not last long. It was quickly dispersed all over the rug and coffee table. Not the worst part. The noise and movements it makes while pooping are hilarious yet absurd. It repeats everything it hears in a supremely creepy voice. 😳 Everything. I mean everything. Anything said on TV, conversations from far away, kids yelling down the stairs...everything. Fortunately for me, my son decided he needed a bath after about an hour or two of pooping and repeating. I thought it was broken forever and I was delighted as I could not believe I was dumb enough to purchase this toy. I am pretty sure my partner was googling local divorce attorneys. He was only in a coma and came back to life a few days later. The good news is that is very difficult to turn on and off. I keep it OFF. This a great gift for that parent you cannot stand or as a great gag gift. I promise kids will love it, at least my three boys sure did. My youngest sister had gotten this toy a year ago and every time I take my daughter to my moms, she asks to play with it. Finally, I got the dang thing for her. Well, I didn’t know it copies 😂 my daughter was playing with it and I had dropped some of the sand and cursed. It copied me and my daughter almost peed herself laughing. Then, of course, I had to laugh too, it’s copy voice is high pitched like a Snapchat voice changing filter. It’s very funny. It comes with the sand and at first I was worried about it being super messy (I hate sand) but it honestly isn’t. The toilet comes apart and you can just pour the sand back in the containers it comes in. However, the containers it comes with for the sand do not snap shut!! I suggest using some tape for it or different containers. One of the containers had falling from about a 3 inch height and opened (yes, I had it closed all the way!) other than that, I do think it is a great toy! ... show more

My daughter loves her flamingo. I hate it. The first one didn't work. Made some weird grinding noise. Replaced and the second works and now I have to hear it repeat everything it hears. Sand all over the floor. She loves it.

I saw this toy on a YouTube download and thought it was soo cute. So I checked Amazon and it was half off. So even though I'm old and childless, I still had to get it for a great laugh. The fact that it repeats what you say...PRICELESS! I cannot say enough great things about this toy. I've already told three people, with grandchildren, they have to buy this for them. We were just trying to lighten up the mood about pooping, and this silly toy seemed like a great way. NOPE. Firstly, the tone and sounds this turdle makes are not friendly and cute, but rather scary and weird sounding. The audio quality is terrible and my kid was confused more than anything about what he said. So garbled! The pink poop granules should be OUTLAWED. They get EVERYWHERE. They are impossible and take hours to clean up. This toy should come with containment. The plastic granules get stuck in the cloths you wipe them up with, they fall out of dust busters and get stuck in the vaccum's rollers. No matter HOW you try to contain or clean them, it's a disaster and the sand ends up EVERYWHERE. Did I say everywhere?? EVERYWHERE!! I can only imagine an actual turtle dying with this pink poop inside them!! I HATE THIS TOY. ... show more

My kid loves it but the sand is incredibly messy. There are holes in the sides/back of the mouth that allow the sand to easily fall out, even with the beak closed. And once it is out, it is very difficult to clean up. Every time we touch it, there is another hard to clean mess. The sand containers also aren't very secure and open too easily. On top of that, I had to change the batteries after about 5 poops. The cheap batteries that came with it must have been old. Disappointing because we really liked the concept and thought it would be helpful with potty training. We're going to find some kind of Tupperware to always keep it in so the sand stays contained. This turtle is absolutely hilarious! My daughter wanted one for her birthday and of course I was like, a turtle that poops, yeah I don't think so. She said she really wanted it so I caved in. This thing was the highlight of her birthday party! It repeats what you say in a cute voice and once you feed it, it sings a " Uh-oh, gotta go" song.
