Got this for my Granddaughter for Christmas but it worked for only one day. It was not at a lower price and my only choice is to reorder( apparently the return window has closed as I bought it early) She is very disappointed as am I.

My granddaughter loves this cute little purple Furby. It's responsive and sometimes even funny with it's chatter. Because we don't have a friend with one, the interaction between 2 Furbys might be interesting, too. It keep a 7 year old entertained, so that's a good thing!

Furby wouldn’t respond to commands when we first unboxed it. She just talked her random dialogue. We scoured the internet and the instruction manual but nothing. We finally resorted to the factory reset. After the reset she wouldn’t open her eyes or talk! Only her gem would light up. I was in panic mode at that point because I’d bought her ages ago for Christmas and was past the return period. My daughter was distraught. She sat all night like that. The next morning she was fine and responding to commands just fine, and fully functioning. We now have a permanent furry dance party in the house. She’s way cuter than the old furbys and doesn’t creep me out the way those did. It was a rough start, but I’d recommend this little fuzz ball as a great companion toy! ... show more

My daughter saw a commercial for the Furby and was adamant that she wanted one for Christmas. Well, Prime Day was hard to pass up just going ahead and getting it. I was planning to wrap it for Christmas, but my daughter spotted it first and begged for it. So I relented because I wanted to also get her the purple one and needed to see how she likes the orange one first. It’s love at first light. My daughter is very shy and has a hard time making friends. The first time Furby called her Furby’s best friend, you’d think it gave her a million dollars. When Furby said that it loves her so much, she started crying. This interactive little toy is quickly becoming my daughter’s favorite possession. The hardest thing will be keeping it clean, I think, as she’s already dragging it everywhere. I never had the original Furby, but this one is certainly one adorable little creature with a little bit of a crass sense of humor (burps and passes gas. Kids think that’s hilarious. Well, I laughed, too, to be honest). Definitely buy this little thing if you’re on the fence. It can be turned off, and it can also be put to sleep, so it’s not going to jump scare you with lights and music if you innocently pass by it while checking on your child at night. It does not require an app to function and doesn’t hook up to the internet. It’s a simple, complex toy, if that makes sense. Lots of functions but not beyond a young child to operate. ... show more
