It's only purpose was to give my old German Shepherd a clean place to do her business on the deck avoiding the stairs, while helping to give her old legs some traction. For that purpose it worked great. This isn't the quality of fake grass that's fooling anyone - but I'd say it's great for the dog. The "grass" height is fairly low, so cleaning up after the dog is easier. Pick up what they leave behind and you can easily hose the mat down to clean. The water drains away quickly and won't puddle up. Unfortunately my dog only got a few weeks of use out of this - but it definitely helped her and she seemed to appreciate it, so for me - it was worth the $100 to help her. The 5x10 size was bigger than some others and gave her enough room to have some space to walk around a little bit. She seemed to enjoy having a softer place to lay down on also. I just kept a hose nearby and cleaned it off whenever she'd use it. This is probably great for a small patio and looks decent enough compared to some of those real cheap options that look horrible. I'd call this mid range in terms of appearance and quality. C o s t c o had a much, MUCH more realistic and better quality version for about the same price, but this was a bit larger and had shorter "grass" making it easier to hose off (instead of stuff getting smeared into it). It's thick enough you don't see the mat or pile and doesn't look like a total piece of junk, but I promise you nobody is gonna drive by and think this is real grass. ... show more

I have sunvilla. Excellent product. Wanted something a little cheaper as this is just for the dogs to go on. Thought this was comparable at 1 3/8 thick but less expensive. It is definitely not that thick. My guess is half of that and poor quality compared to sunvilla. So spend a little more and get quality instead of this. Dogs don’t mind it as they poop on it. ... show more

I ordered 2 of the 5x10 size rolls. The grass looks and feels really nice. The only complaints I have are that these run on the thinner side, so the base is not as thick/padded as other synthetic grass and this feels harder when walking on it. Secondly there is a slight difference in the color of the 2 rolls I purchased, which is a little annoying. Please check attached picture for example, you can see where the 2 meet. Because of these 2 reasons it’s a 4/5 product. If you don’t mind it being a little thin and only order 1 roll, might be a 5/5 for you. ... show more

It made such a difference putting this on my balcony. I realized it was more affordable to go with the 5×10. My dog loves it too. It stays wet for a while after it rains. But i think it definitely drips most of the water through the drip holes. I would buy again.

Looks great outside on a small balcony, my daughter plays with her toys on it, she loves it. Only issue is, if you stand too long the grass sticks to your sole and sometimes pulls some blades off. We have carpet inside our home so i can see grass blades over the carpet.
