Just select the tip with opening that most closely fits locking strip, and then feed locking strip into eyelet. Tip swivels in 90 in either direction. Never replaced a window before in a vehicle ever.had to replace a solid tinted cap window in my K5 Blazer ..had help with a step stool ,some plastic pry tools to get the old window out, and new one into molding. next, got some soapy water in a spray bottle ,and this awesome tool to finish the job. Finished very easily by myself no problem! Seriously,this tool along with the plastic prys ,are worth every penny!...whole process took me 30 mins.,and saved me a lot of time. This makes the job of replacing windshield (and rear window) locking strips much easier. It's still a significant chore, but this tool makes it SO much easier than trying to accomplish the task using screwdrivers and other ordinary tools. Highly recommended!!!

Popped the window out of my track loader, backing in the woods into a branched. Had a hell of a time trying to work it in using screw drivers, lube and putty knife. Got it in about a third of the way and my neighbor stopped ny and said he saw a window guy use a tool and went right in within minutes. We looked on line and he said this was it. Ordered it and it put the trim in within a few minutes. WOW what a time saver. Worth every penny, especially because I didn't break the window by accident! 2nd time using this (professionally) the lock guide bent as I was applying pressure, snapped, sent the sharp end directly into my hand, pierced deeply. Not a good experience. Could very well have been a one in a million defect. Tool is unsafe/inoperable now. Reduced to 3 stars because Lisle does make some good tools but this one was not it. ... show more
