I doubt that I would have been able to insert the locking strip into the window seal without a tool like this.

Indispensible for locking strip replacement!
Style: Windshield Locking Strip Tool
This makes the job of replacing windshield (and rear window) locking strips much easier. It's still a significant chore, but this tool makes it SO much easier than trying to accomplish the task using screwdrivers and other ordinary tools. Highly recommended!!!

Where has this tool been all my life?
Style: Offset Windshield Locking Strip Tool
Popped the window out of my track loader, backing in the woods into a branched. Had a hell of a time trying to work it in using screw drivers, lube and putty knife. Got it in about a third of the way and my neighbor stopped ny and said he saw a window guy use a tool and went right in within minutes. We looked on line and he said this was it. Ordered it and it put the trim in within a few minutes. WOW what a time saver. Worth every penny, especially because I didn't break the window by accident! If I never use it again it was worth it. ... show more

Defected?
Style: Offset Windshield Locking Strip Tool
2nd time using this (professionally) the lock guide bent as I was applying pressure, snapped, sent the sharp end directly into my hand, pierced deeply. Not a good experience. Could very well have been a one in a million defect. Tool is unsafe/inoperable now. Reduced to 3 stars because Lisle does make some good tools but this one was not it. ... show more
