So pleasantly surprised! For the price I'm stunned at how perfectly flexible this knife is. It's ever so slightly smaller than expected, (I read the dimensions, but the spade is just a little smaller than my other one of another brand) but it TOTALLY works great. I've had bad experiences with knives being way too stiff or cheap, but this one is better than expected for sure. I also learned that having the sides have a little bit of a sharper angle is so helpful when mixing & scooping paint. After using and tiring of my plastic painting knife, I decided to try this metal painting knife and loved it. I use it to apply transfer gel and embossing paste over my stencils and I must say it’s wonderfully smooth. I don’t have problems with snagging like I did with my plastic knife. Had I known about this brand first, I would have made them my number one. In fact, I’ve ordered two more, which I’m currently waiting on. I’ve seen some reviews mention how the flexibility of this knife bothers them. While it does have a little give, I didn’t find it to be incredibly, annoyingly flexible, however, keep in mind, I only use this for paste stenciling. What I can say is, if you are in fact heavy handed, you might indeed find this knife unsuitable. It’s not as solid/strong, as say a spoon or fork, but for my use, just right!     • Large knives are VERY large; check dimensions of the small ones

I ordered a large No. 16 knife because all the Liquitex large knives have rivets that prevent the blade from pulling out of the handle. I've had several palette/painting knives that did exactly that. The large No. 16 is well-made, with two rivets through a long tang, but it measures 11" from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade. If you want big knives, these are recommended. I wish the small Liquitex knives had rivets to keep them together. THE SMALL KNIVES: Amazon won't let me review each product line, so I'll do the best I can. The No. 10 knife is excellent. It has a fairly stiff blade that's 4-1/4" long. That reminds me: Be sure to check the length of the blades on the small knives. If that dimension isn't given on Amazon, the Liquitex website shows all of them. ... show more
