I bought the Liquid Stands adjustable piano bench in my quest to find comfortable seating for classical guitar playing. A classical guitar chair must be comfortable to sit in while allowing you to hold the instrument in the ideal playing position. Not an easy combination given the second requirement. The bench is sturdy. Adjustments for seat hight, backrest height, and backrest depth are easy to get to and make the bench suitable for many body types. It's also small, light, and easy to move around. Assembly was simple. All required hardware and tools were included. It took a total of 30-minutes from the time I opened the box until it was fully assembled in my studio. Instructions are adequate but better pictures might help confirm educated guesses as to where things belong. If I were to make a design change I would extend the base. It's stable enough to sit in but if you have the back rest extended past the base, it's less so. Is it comfortable? I have yet to find anything more comfortable. I'm in the process of making minor adjustments trying to find the ideal seat adjustment for holding the guitar in position without the guitar slipping.

A fine chair. Easy to assemble. Extremely well made. All of the weld joints are superb. The stitchery on the seat is as if done by a jeweler. After trying several piano seats, I have settled (pun intended) on this one. The people who manufacture this item have put in a great deal of time to insure that they have produced an excellent product. Buy it. Give it good inspection, put it together. You will be pleased. I sit on it every day for two hours. Each time I come away from the piano I am pleased. Its structure has made me center myself on middle-C. Nice configuration. Doesn't spin or roll. Just good fixed position. Instead of rolling up or down the keyboard, I lean to my high or low notes. The way it should be. The adjustable back rest is fine. The adjustable height is made for me. Buy it. You won't be deceived.

I was quite impressed with this chair as it has L brace for the lags. Easy to assemble. My kid(5yr old) likes the back rest. Easy to pull and maneuver when adjusting sitting. A great product!! Well done!

Perfect product for hours at the piano--esp. shifting from playing, to writing notes, to watching videos/classes--easy to switch between those bc you can use the backrest when you need to, and not when you're actually playing. Also great for height adjustment (which is why I originally ordered it--the bench that came with my electric keyboard wasn't high enough). Easy to assemble--just a small suggestion that I make to all sellers of self-assembly products--it would be really great and much appreciated if you included an extra screw/washer or two for future purchasers just in case one of those tiny pieces gets lost during opening (( actually dropped the small bag of screws/washers when I opened it but fortunately found them all!) Thanks!

The standard stool style piano seat my wife was using caused her back fatigue, so she wasn't able to play for long periods. This seat has an adjustable height back and also adjusts back and forth to the seat to support her back. This is much more comfortable than a piano stool.

I only received it today, and time will tell how much I like it comfort-wise. However, it's certainly well-manufactured. All of the pieces aligned properly and there were no flaws on any of the materials. Not only did it have exactly the right number of screws, but they also included lock washers, which isn't something you normally get with self-assembled furniture (it was very much appreciated). The instructions are decent, though there are a few minor quirks to be aware of. An allen wrench is included (an H4.0 or 5/32 if, like me, you'd rather use your own screwdriver & bit instead). The first two instructions are straightforward; it took me a few seconds to realize that steps 3 and 4 weren't needed because my unit came with that part of the assembly already completed. The remaining steps were fine. The only challenge is that everything (including the holes) is black, and so the small pictures don't help a lot. Fortunately, putting this together is not rocket science, and the only extra advice I'd give is to make sure (as usual) that you screw things in lightly at first, and only tighten everything down once it's all together. (I would avoid using a power screwdriver for all of the usual reasons when putting together furniture; you definitely don't want to cross-thread the screws, although as I say the alignment and quality of the hardware is really, really good.) The only really odd thing is that the seat bottom bracket's holes are slots, unlike any of the other holes in the other brackets, which are all circular. This means that you have to pay extra attention to make sure the seat bottom is centered and square before you tighten everything down. I love the fact that there are three ways to adjust this bench -- seat height, back height, and back depth. It looks great and is exactly what I was looking for (which is good because there seem to be no competitors for this sort of adjustable bench which have seat backs at this point).
