If you have acne this probably isn’t for you. I absolutely love the full coverage NYX foundation but I can’t always get that so I wanted something i could find everywhere and this has SPF in it which is amazing. This foundation would be great for someone not looking for a lot of coverage/ has extremely dry skin. I have acne and dry skin but this stuff just slides around all day causing patchy spots and marks in your foundation i also noticed a few more pimples popping up while using this product which I do not like since I already have acne. It doesn’t cover cystic pimples well and breaks apart on top of pimples. The foundation is really yellow tone and they don’t have many options for extremely pale skin. The foundation otherwise applies nicely and looks nice for about an hour. Also you have to use a setting powered or it will always be kind of greasy looking and smear around. First, about me: light to medium skin tone, neutral undertones, 30 years old, female, combination/oily (mostly oily in T-Zone), acne prone (mostly hormonal), and I experience redness by my nose and cheeks. What I was looking for in foundation: medium/buildable coverage, controls oiliness, long lasting, doesn’t transfer, doesn’t budge, doesn’t settle into my pores or lines. What I have tried: - MAC prolong wear nourishing waterproof foundation in color NC27 — this color was great for the winter/early spring. It matched perfectly and didn’t oxidize. However, it did a terrible job with controlling my oiliness & shine. After a full day, it started to fill my pores and lines on my forehead. I was not even going to test it’s waterproof ability because it was just sitting on my face and would wipe off with just a light touch. Perhaps it just needs a good setting powder or spray (which I have not found yet). - Kat Von D Lock-it foundation — Um, this was a joke. The colors are not great. I tried two (I used online tools to find the right shade) and one was too yellow. The other was actually fine, but I had already tanned quite a bit by the time it was delivered, so it was a bit on the lighter side. I tried this product several ways, with and without primer, with and without setting spray, with and without setting powder... this product just will not “lock” down. It just sat on my face and was so much worse than the MAC. It was so disappointing. I almost feel like KVD means well, and the models on the site are diverse, but her products are just not meant for all skin types. I’ve definitely tried other products, but I wanted to mention those two because they kept popping up on my search for foundation and they are on the higher end of my budget. Finally, I came across this product: Revlon ColorStay for combination/oily skin. I’m not sure what you are looking for, but here is what I love about this product! This goes on so easily, smoothly and lightly, but with medium coverage that I can easily build. It looks so natural! It definitely controls my oily skin. There is a bit of shine after 10 hours, but I don’t look oily. If it bothers me, I just blot a little and it stays matte for even longer. Regardless of whether I use primer, or setting spray/powder, it does the same job! I love it! I got it in the color 310 Warm Golden, which is actually a perfect match. However, in case you didn’t catch on before, I tan very easily, so I just ordered it in Rich Tan. This foundation does not budge and I haven’t had any dramatic transfers like I’ve had with the other two products that cost almost 5x more than this product. I definitely recommend this for everyday use. I have not had any breakouts and I love that it has SPF. It feels natural and I forget I’m wearing makeup. I think this product went on best when applied with a brush with micro bristles (I ordered this flawless foundation brush on Amazon for about $7). One more thing, I have textured skin (pock marks from acne), and at first, I tried to use more product to fill it in, but it didn’t work. However, over time during the day, my skin looked flawless! One thing I did not like, but I’m willing to live with: for some reason it fills my pores a bit on my chin. I don’t know how to fix that other than to touch up or blot, but I have been searching for so long for something that I really like, I’m willing to hang on to this one. Color: EARLY TAN Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Being a MAC makeup user for years I had moved to a new area and was needing foundation quick so I settled for running to a pharmacy that sales makeup and grabbed this for quick fix. The foundation goes on smoother, it feels silky, AND it lasts longer than MAC's long stay option I used for over a decade. Also, MAC upon research is actually very bad for your skin, and this product is much safer. Living on an island means settling for the one pharmacy that's close on a very large island, or driving a good 45 min into the mainland to where I found the nearest MAC was located. I decided to check Amazon and found that it was much better price wise, and when using my prime membership I was able to have it delivered within two days. I checked the pricing of this foundation at grocery store chains as well because of course pharmacy pricing is always higher. Every store I priced still didn't beat Amazon's price on this product, and definitely the switch from MAC's foundation is saving me even more which is an added bonus. I have used this product for years, also not from this seller. This is my first time buying from the seller because I cannot find my product in the store. I've been okay with the product except for one thing it rubs off on the clothes which it claims not to do. It took exceedingly long to get this product from the seller, and I'm not sure why. If I could find a face foundation that would not rub off on the clothes I probably switch to that product. ... show more
