I had an obvious ticking sound at idle, very annoying, and would get louder as it got hotter I used two 300 mL bottles for 9 quarts of oil in my V12 Mercedes Benz twin turbo. After only about 10 minutes of running and taking it up and down the street a couple of times the noise is gone. Amen

    • Didn’t fix lifter tick in 2011 Chevy 2500 with 6.0
Edit: editing this because the lifter has completely failed on cylinder 2. This isn’t the additive fault and the lifter was too far gone to fix. I’m sure if I added it a few thousand miles before it might’ve helped but after 230k miles it needs a new motor I bought this so fix a lifter tick on my Chevy. I thought it would work since I read the reviews. But after adding the two bottles of the oil, and driving 300 miles. The tick has actually gotten louder. I’m not going to say that the oil made it get worse but it definitely didn’t prevent it. I’m sure it works for other people and I will give it the benefit of the doubt that my truck is just worn and nothing will fix it. But either way it didn’t perform the way I expected ... show more

My 99 Mercedes C280 developed a very loud valve tick which got slightly better as the engine warmed up. Added this and after warming up instead of getting a bit quieter as it warmed up the tick went away completely. A few days later the tick is completely gone even when the engine is cold!
