I installed these on our 2021 Heartland milestone 379flml. I would say that your average home mechanic can install these with minimal problems. To save you the hassle, your 6 point leveling system WILL raise and support the rv. I left ours attached to the tow vehicle (2019 Chevy Silverado High County dually 4x4) because I was only replacing one side at a time(I do not recommend doing it this way)and wanted to have the flex. I used a drill to MANUALLY raise the rv, only enough to get the tires to rotate. I found the hardest part of the installation was alignment. With that said, I'm going to chalk that up to ONLY lifting and blocking one side at a time since each side was different in what was mis matched. (this was the only time i needed help) I bought the suggested option of brass bushings and wet bolt with the 1/2" shackles. If you do the same, order another set of the brass bushings, the set comes with 4, you will need 8 total IF YOU ARE REPLACING THE LEAF SPRING BUSHINGS. You DO NOT have too, which I didn't since i only had 4.. I did replace the bolts with the wet bolts so at least I can grease them. Removal of the original hardware was easy. I used 2 - 3 ton floor jacks to support the axles which also allows for some movement for alignment. All in all the whole process was not a difficult task and I would recommend this product to anyone who pulls a large heavy trailer. ... show more

Measure the existing equalizer if under 3 inches eye to eye you will need the 3 1/8 inch shackle kit. Save time buy the right one first. Well built and strong takes out a lot of trailer bounce. Comes with the bronze bushings installed already.

These are great. They settled the trailer down and it now feels smooth as can be. Time will tell how they do but right out of the box they are great and I highly recommend them. They did have the same paint damage as everyone else stated though. A simple piece of cardboard would probably prevent the damage. ... show more

My trailers never rode bad to start with, but it seems to ride much better now with this installed. The main reason I purchased this was to hopefully keep my trailer in better shape by taking some of the bouncing out of the ride.

I chose to do the Morryde HD shackles and bronze bushings upgrade to my 1 year old trailer and was surprised that most of the soft plastic bushings were quite worn already and it only has 1,500 miles on it. The axles are 3,900 lbs capacity and 1.75” wide leaves. The bronze bushings pressed in with a simple wood clamp and these equalizers already had bronze bushings in them so I had extras left over. With the combination of a Shocker equalizer hitch, these equalizers, and the bronze bushings/HD shackles, my suspension has no squeaks, is durable, and I can honestly say I rarely feel my trailer is behind me. These are well worth the investment if you plan to keep your trailer. ... show more

Ok, I watched all the videos I could on installing new wet bolts and the Road Armor equalizer. Most took everything off first. I just lifted one side of the trailer and took one wheel off at a time. It seemed much safer being that I had one tire on just in case. Only needed one floor jack to lift the axle (at the spring u-bolt plate) I was working on and a bottle jack to raise the trailer. Installed the equalizer and shackles. Tighten everything up and put the wheel back on and go to the next. I had no alignment problems and the whole process took about 3 hours. I also used jack stands for safety too. Having the whole 10,000 lbs sitting on jacks just didn’t sit right with me and this work was done on a dirt surface not concrete. I also had to order MorRides wetbolt kit with 3.25” shackles. I had 2.5” originally. The width between the old and the new equalizer was different. Lippert tech support told me what size to order.
