Description

Natural Layer of Dependable Protection Boiled Linseed Oil brings wood to life by enhancing its natural colors and texture. The oil penetrates deep into the wood, nourishing as it cures. Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) is not actually boiled — drying agents are added to Raw Linseed Oil to already created BLO for a faster drying wood treatment BLO absorbs deep into the wood's grain and dries within hours, depending on the weather. Once cured and polymerized, an added layer of protection is created. The wood must also be treated every six month to a year. Easy Application First, make sure the wood surface is clean and free of debris. Once cleaned, apply the first coat with a cloth, brush, or roller. Let the oil soak into the wood for 10 to 15 minutes. Thoroughly wipe the surface to remove excess oil to prevent build-up resulting in a sticky surface. For proper application and preservation, apply 2 - 3 coats at 12 to 24 hour intervals.

  • Thirsty floors?
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
My hardwood floors are original to my house. I don't have the time or money to sand and refinish them at the moment and they are quite sad. They are mopped way more than they should be and have a large amount of foot traffic due to having 70 potty training foster puppies in the last 3 years. I have bought other products that 'feed and wax' but after using them my floors are like ice skating rinks. Prior to using LinSheen I was nervous that it would have the same slippery effect. I was wrong. LinSheen was easy to apply, dried quickly, and gave my floors a new life. They now feel great to walk on and are not the least bit slippery. My photo attached is after one coat of the oil had dried vs no oil. Other reviews have mentioned the smell. It is an earthy smell, but I don't think it smells bad. I prefer earthy over chemical. I would compare it to smelling a bag of flaxseed, which makes sense as it is made out of flaxseed haha. This quality product might have to be added to my Amazon subscription, so I can always have it on hand. ... show more

  • Applys easily. Adds luster and protection.
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Really good Boiled linseed oil. I have a Springfield M1A1 and am working on getting that deep reddish oxblood color to come out of this beautiful mahogany. Using lint free cloths I purchased here. I've been slowly applying one thin coat after the next. Mahogany is beautiful wood to begin with.Using this product is not only adding depth of color, it's helping waterproof and protect the wood for years and years to come. Great value for the quantity. If you're interested in either restoration of your rifles and or other wood you own this product works great.. Just adding a bit of extra protection to an unvarnished surface is simple and has wonderful results. I highly recommend this product. Do not use on Oak products. Check all wood before treating it. ... show more

  • Works excellent
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Use in a well ventilated area, of course I mixed it in equal parts with turpentine and vinegar to use on wood. It works well on wood giving a rich hue.

  • Best BLO I've ever used
This is very high quality, highly refined boiled linseed oil. I used it to finish a guitar I built recently and it worked like magic to make the wood really pop. This oil seems to have a lot less solvent added to it than your average BLO you'd buy off the shelf at a big box hardware store, which is good because the solvents they usually put in BLO are highly toxic and carcinogenic. It takes longer to dry, which means the risk of self-combusting rags is low. You still want to use it sparingly, do many light coats and thoroughly wash your rags with detergent and warm water and spread them out to dry afterwards. See the can for more info. Make sure you use a 100% cotton, lint free rag to apply this oil. Rags made from T-shirt like cloth are best. Or just use an old, white 100% cotton T-shirt. You should re-oil wood periodically (once a year as a rough guide) to maintain the finish. You can also put some on a rag to wipe dirt off the wood. The 250ml can I got will cover several guitars or gun stocks and keep them re-oiled for years. ... show more
