I bought this in chocolate, to match and protect my dining table. It sits next to a window and I've seen the sun fade other people's wooden furniture, and we have a baby on the way so... yeah, mess protection. I even put a clear vinyl one on top because the table is new(aka expensive) and I don't really want to scrape crayon or baby food off it yet. Anyway, on to the stuff. Good: It was slightly larger than my table so it hung over enough for me. Measure your table, I went about 20 inches larger in both widths and was pleased. It is a durable/sturdy fabric. It is a nice color. It is a table cloth. Bad-ish? It slides around more than I think it should. I'm familiar with table cloths, and this one seems to slide around more than others. Not sure if my table is too new or the table cloth is too slippery. Even with a heavy item on it, it seems to move. I'm using little elastic clips(the kind used to hold bed sheets on mattresses) to keep it in place. ... show more

I wasn't sure about it when it arrived, but I washed it and put it on the table. It looks less like polyester after it's washed. It does keep the wrinkles it comes with, so I would advise washing it and ironing it with a cool iron to get the wrinkles out. I washed it again and put it on the dining room table before dinner tonight. There was a greasy spill almost immediately, and I thought It would stain, being polyester, but it blotted up with a dry paper towel, with no residual stain at all. It's a very nice everyday tablecloth. The instructions say not to bleach it, but I got red wine on it, and used chlorine bleach on it the second time I washed it, and it was fine. ... show more

Excellent value this was my fourth tablecloth. I have three different colors. The beige one is our everyday and wanted a second to have available when the first became soiled. Cleans up very well in washer. I had to use dawn degreaser on some areas for a heavy grease spot took two Washings but did come out. Does wrinkle a bit coming out of dryer. I could cool iron it but I use it on our family table and wrinkles seem to settle out after a few days. I will order more as I need them and probably add a few more special occasion colors. After searching for this size at several stores I found this item to be a really good value, decent quality, great price and great color choice here online. ... show more

    • Fantastic party table covers!

I just bought 5 of these table covers of various sizes for wedding reception we held in our home. 4 were white and one is red (got the 51 inch red to cover my bistro table on back porch...love it). I wanted covers that would go completely to the floor like you would see at a banquet. These hit the mark perfectly. And you can't beat the price. A couple of the covers had some black pencil-like marks on them but I just flipped them over and they were hidden. SUGGESTION: before using them wash them to get folds out. After they are dry put them immediately on your table. You will have no wrinkles. I didn't do that with 3 of them and ironing them took a looong time because they are so large, heavy, and thick. After the reception, I washed them and threw in some bleach and they came out looking new. There is a tag that identifies the size, so just hang them with the tag visible for easy selection the next time you need one. I can't say enough about these covers! This seems to be a good quality cloth, irons out nice, BUT....!!!!....CAUTION!....check out all the hems carefully, especially before you launder the first time. The one I received would have raveled out badly had I not noticed that one edge had not been turned under twice (proper for a double fold hem). I would have returned if I didn't need the cloth right away for a project. I was splitting and hemming myself, so I fixed the raveling hem while I was at the sewing machine. It hadn't raveled badly enough in the packaging yet so I wouldn't have noticed before using, but if I had washed it before use or altering for my use... I would have returned promptly and been able to return the item for them to see the issue, but would have been in a huge jam because I needed this right away. Soooo glad I checked it out good beforehand...I'm having heat transfer logos applied so I would have invested alot more money into an item that would have been ruined because of this manufacturing flaw. nice cloth, maybe worth the price...but check it out good. Purchased this because of the choices of colors...got exactly what I needed. ... show more

I was a little confused when I opened the package because it said "Linen" tablecloth. It is actually 100% polyester, but in a nice substantial tight weave, and looks almost perma-press. It was smooth right out of the package and I put it on the table without even pressing it. Haven't washed it yet, but looks like it will wash up easily and go straight from the dryer back to the table. Nice chocolate brown shade and goes well with the earth tones in my house. I would recommend this tablecloth to anyone. The price was great too. ... show more
