    • Impressive, especially for the price
I wasn't expecting this to be quite as good as it is (because it is simply so reasonable priced). The fit on my Q3 is perfect, the workmanship is excellent, access to battery and memory card are very good, the texture of the leather is firm without feeling stiff, the Arca-Swiss "plate" fits snuggly and tightly in my ballhead, and the grip is secure even though it is smooth. Installation with the magnetically attached "screw driver" was a snap. I cannot think of a single thing to criticize about the Lim's half case for the Q3 and, as I have described above, there is much to praise. Still to be determined is how well it holds up under use. For now, I give the Lim's an enthusiastic 5-star rating. ... show more

I like this half case for my q3. It's well made, it can protect the camera, it provides a good grip feeling, and with it battery and memory card are still accessible

    • Excellent alternative to Leica's pricey case
I didn't expect this case to be so good. I wanted something that would protect my Q3 when I rest it on a rock, or whatever, while shooting. This case is beautifully made and fits perfectly. The bottom plate is Arca-Swiss compatible and the magnetically held tool is handy if you need to remove it. I deducted 1 star because the opening for the cover on the side to access the USB port could have been slightly larger, although this does work. ... show more

This is a great half case for the Leica Q3. Can easily access the usb c port and the battery compartment. It’s well made and one of the few decent options out there

    • It's remarkably good
I first tried the Leica wireless charging handgrip and the Leica leather half case and now LIM's leather half case with grip (black) and it is remarkably good. I didn't expect such high quality and precision craftsmanship, but it is awesome. The leather is great quality, the interior of the case is a soft material and the case provides easy access to the battery, memory card, side ports and still allows access to the tiltable screen. A side benefit is that the Q3 actually sits flat on a table without tilting forward due to the weight of the lens. I love it - definitely a keeper. ... show more

    • Missing a Piece Twice
Ordered this case twice. The first time, it was missing the dovetail attachment. Sent it back and the replacement was also missing the same attachment. Decided to keep the case nevertheless because it is less expensive than the Leica case and is better designed -- allows access to battery and memory card slot unlike the Leica version. So far, the case itself seems well made, fits the camera well and has a nice bump in the front which improves the ability to hold the camera. Pity about the missing dovetail piece since now it will require removing the case to use a tripod. ... show more
