    • High quality luxury watch, lower price

I LOVE this watch. There are a very few drawbacks but the overall look of the watch, the feel and the compliments I receive mostly from younger guys make it very much worth it. It makes me feel younger and "in the know" fashion wise. When in reality, if I am not careful, I have a little bit of a Mr. Bean/Rowan Atkinson look about myself LOL! I was initially worried that a high quality watch could not be purchased for under $100. I have 5 or 6 higher quality watches and 5 really nice pocket watches. I am a fairly new grandpa but my ambition is to be known as the "Gadget Grandpa"! Little kids love to look at adult watches but they can only hold and touch them when with Grandpa. So, needless to say, I was skeptical at first but I figured for 60 bucks, I would try it for a few weeks and send it back if I did not like it. I will not send it back and wear it everyday at this point 2 months later. I like: The big face, automatic from movement no battery feature, overall quality look, accurate time keeping and the little tiny picture of the sun and the moon that rotate through as the day goes by. Yep, I am a giant baby..... Minor drawbacks: The watch band is cool and gadgety but it is different and a little complicated. There are no instructions on how to latch and unlatch, it is not your average buckle. Once I figured it out I liked it, however, the latch is wearing down and one side is starting to come undone seemingly at random. I am working with customer service to get a new band, I will see how that goes. Because it is an automatic watch, it will stop if not worn for more than about 12 to14 hours. I do not have a problem with this because I have wind up pocket watches that I adjust all the time. To me, it is a part of the fun. I can take it off at night and it keeps great time. There is not a glow in the dark option but then that is not the kind of watch it is. I switch it with an Indiglo Timex at night for that reason . This would be a great gift for the significant man in your life, high quality, under $100 for birthday, anniversary, anything and every time he would look at it, he would think of you! ... show more

    • Inexpensive automatic with many features, overall a nice watch

Overall I like this watch, I like that it is automatic/self-winding, overall it has an attractive watch face with day/date dials and a sun and moon a.m./p.m. dial, as well as an open aperture to view the clockwork inside. So far it has kept reasonably accurate time, as long as I keep it wound up, it loses less than a half a minute per day. I may get an inexpensive automatic watch winder for it. It took me a short time to figure out how to work the band, I’m used to a more traditional leather band but am willing to give this one a shot; it certainly wouldn’t be hard to replace it. The watch face has a funny looking split near the bottom, as if it was cut and inexpertly repaired, but that is apparently part of the fashion look of this model. This is a budget priced automatic, so it is affordable for most and seems quite reasonable at the currently listed price. ... show more

    • A beautiful watch received with a defective butterfly buckle

I had to return this wonderful watch as I was unable to close the clasp properly. That's too bad because I would have loved keeping the watch but the band's clasp just would not lock solidly on my wrist. If this particular watch model was available with a leather watchband equipped with a regular buckle, I would order it again immediately. I thought the old gold-colored case was a very nice shade. The case itself was a little bit thick but this seemed really unimportant to me. The white dial was exceptionally beautiful and I found it rather easy to read the day and date dials, compared to the horizontal day-date window at the 3:00 o'clock position that is commonly found. Setting up the watch was quite easy and, but for that defective butterfly clasp, I would have rated the watch 5 stars. Because I felt sorry that I had to return it, I considered exchanging the band for a nice brown regular leather one but, as I did not want to have to worry about warranty problems with a brand-new watch, I reluctantly decided to return the watch and wait to see if the seller ever offers it with a normal watch band. The problem with my particular example was that, after opening the watch band to put the watch on, I had to first set up the butterfly buckle in its proper position and, next, I had to rotate the end clasp a quarter turn to its 'locked' position. I did lock the end clasp as tight as I could but it just did not click in place solidly. Because the clasp end did not click hard, it would not stay locked with the result that, as soon as I put my hand through the opening, the end clasp would pop open instead if remaining locked solidly in place. When the end clasp popped free, I became utterly unable to close the butterfly clasp itself around my wrist, making the watch unusable. I have to believe that either my clasp was defective or the butterfly design itself is flawed. That's too bad, really, because I missed out on a really beautiful watch at a very reasonable price. ... show more
