Getting this 2-pack of kayaks is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. The first time I ordered it and waited for weeks, the seller just canceled the transaction due to a shipping issue, but didn't bother to even reach out to me. So I kept looking for other kayaks, but just couldn't find a deal like this one, so I took my chances and placed the order a second time. They used a different shipper and the kayaks showed up earlier than promised. I am so glad I ordered them. I'm a beginner kayaker, but more experienced guests have also used them and commented on how nice they are. And the best part is that as a 60 yr old, 120 pound female, I can carry it with relative ease. I've used it several times (on a lake) and so far it's holding up very nicely. Another great thing is the seatback. It makes this kayak so much more comfortable on my back than rentals I've tried. Great purchase!

Amazing product. They are simple. But exactly what you need. I bought 4 of these because the price is so good. Your are not going to find one cheaper. Stop looking. I got these and the butt pillows that you don’t even need. The kayak is comfy on it’s own. My ten year old got in and took off no issues. Never done a kayak before. Not a lot of kayaks have oars with them. These do and cheap price. But not lacking in quality. I’m trying to hit all the point I love about these and the points your probably wondering about. They are 8 ft. I can’t carry one by myself. But I’m only 5’2 and weak. But my 15 year old held one above his head. So they are lighter. Paddles are sturdy and well made. Nothing about this kayak is cheap other than the price. 😊

I wanted as cheap as I can go as I wasn't sure how much I could use it at my rental house in Hilton Head Island. Delivered yesterday and took it out for the first time not expecting much as this is such a short kayak (I wanted it short and light to carry to the lagoon and beach and to fit into my mid sized SUV). It tracks just fine! Almost better than I remember with longer ones. You paddle on the left, the tip of the kayak moves 5-6 inches to the right. You paddle to the right, the tip of the kayak moves 5-6 inches to the left. Net result, you go straight never having to make adjustments! I remember the longer ones getting out of wack and having to paddle multiple times on one side to correct. Not here. Light enough to carry about 100-150 feet before needing a rest. I am 5'8". With knees bent, I am on the second of 4 foot notches. With legs flat (which I like best), I am on the 3rd foot notch. So someone 4-6 inches taller than me can sit with legs flat. And someone 4-6 inches taller than that can sit with legs bent (just be mindful of the 250# weight limit). It is also very stable. Update: took it out on the ocean today (calm conditions). All was fine except one thing. Went with my friend who had a different kayak (the kind you slide into). Wow, what a difference. They were like a rocket ship and I like a freighter-slow, slow, slow. Frankly, I wouldn't have noticed without them there. So, if you need to go long distances or need speed, this is not for you. It is still good with me as I am just out for fun and touring around.

They are PERFECT for lake use. We're two old farts who have a second house on a lake in AZ and because we're not there full time AND because I wasn't sure how often they'd be used I wanted a reasonably priced pair of kayaks. These have really made lake living even more fun. Super stable to get on and off of - we use a dock ladder. Go down a couple of rungs (your legs will get wet) position our butts over the seat, then just sit down sit to get on - to exit swing legs over to ladder (your legs will get wet ) and stand up. Super light to haul out. Ability to easily adjust the seat back is super - I like to be super erect, not lounging when I paddle. One review said something about them being slow - seriously, how fast do you really want to go?? They maneuver fairly well - again, we're not in a shipping lane or running rapids...we're doing lake life. Do yourself a proper and get a life vest and whistle you can stow in the back...just in case. Only thing I can say that's "negative" is the seat can get a bit hard on your butt if you're doing a pokey slow trip (we're lake people...), so I usually sit on the life jacket. I'm looking for a decent priced gel seat, but so far no luck.

On our first outing the kayak filled with water and I was ok to make a warranty claim. As life is life... I get the email as my picture states to contact to get a patch. If it can't take one float( I bought 2) one is fine. But if they don't back the warranty. I'll upgrade and never again. Along with when I received the items I was shorted a paddle. In which I didn't complain. Was excited to go floating. Now it's the poor quality that has a hole isn't covered. I won't put my hard earned money to this company again as they don't hold to what they say. Boooo to lifetime ...

These kayaks are exactly what I expected. They are perfect for a young family. Sturdy, safe, slow, and easy to paddle around on. Now for the not so great...both kayaks arrived with dents on the bow. The dents shouldn't impact the use, so I decided to keep them, but still...dents on a brand new product...not something I really care for. And the shipper, Ceva Logistics....not that great. The kayaks were supposed to arrive by Friday according to Amazon, Ceva then pushed it back to Tuesday. When they didn't arrive on Tuesday, I called on Wednesday and they told me no one was home when they tried to deliver them, completely untrue. They then said that the kayaks actually never arrived to my local distribution point. I called back on Thursday when I saw that the kayaks made it to the distribution place and they said that they couldn't ship them until the following Monday. Long story short, Ceva isn't great, but the kayaks are decent.

I promised my 14 year old daughter an adventure over the summer. So I purchased two 8" sit on top Kayaks and life jackets. First trip out was awesome we want treasure kayaking on the Delaware River. The second trip however went much differently (to say the least). We went with the current this time to check out a new area near some rocks 200 yards away, we didn't realize the adventure we were about to go on. We landed up going through the Foul Rift Rapids on these 2 kayaks. We were both very scared, to the point she almost peed herself. She went over what she would call a baby waterfall, as I screamed for her to paddle (it really wasn't a waterfall). The Kayak and I got stuck on a giant rock sticking out of the water but I managed to kick off of them. We got off at the next boat launch after another set of rapid that weren't as bad as the first ones. There is a lot more to this story but you can get the point. We didn't fall off and they drained the water beautifully. There are a bunch of light scraps and a few deeper scratches on each of the kayaks after that but HOLY COW do they stay together. I was a fool and I know that. I'm just glad we learned a bunch of valuable listens and no one got hurt. The only CONs I have are that I had to keep adjusting the back support strap and they should have some kinda handle on the sides like above the door in a car for crazy situations like we were in. Just kidding on the second Con... I should mention that I'm a very tall man at 6"5 240lbs. My daughter is 125lbs roughly and 5"11. The weight limit is 250lbs for these kayaks and I was fine. Great product Lifetime!

It fits in the back of our suburban for a nice easy trip to the lake I would recommend this product for anyone that wants a nice water sport fun kayak. If we ever need another kayak we know where to buy it thank you very much lifetime and Amazon! Update, To the lake today. The Kayaks performed perfectly comfortable easy to use even handled the waves and the wind. Easy to put in the back of the suburban and easy to carry to the lake very happy!
