We got this Hardcore Coast Guard Approved Type III PFD in the Blue Youth size (50-90 lbs) for our 9-year-old twins. It’s become their go-to life jacket for swimming, kayaking, and general water play. The fit is excellent — adjustable straps make it easy to dial in for growing kids, and it doesn’t ride up like some cheaper vests. The material feels durable, and the foam provides good buoyancy without being overly bulky. They can still paddle, swim, and move around comfortably, which is important for active water days. It meets US Coast Guard standards, which gives us peace of mind. The bright blue color makes them easy to spot in the water.
