After researching many mattresses on Amazon, I decided on the Life Balance Hybrid because it was made in the USA, had no odor and was made it certified components. My back pain is gone. This is the most comfortable mattress I ever slept on. It was very easy to setup, just open the box, remove the plastic and it expanded quickly. It is definitely not a cheap mattress and you can tell not only by the way it looks but how well it is put together. I like a soft mattress, however this mattress conformed to my back. I am a side sleeper and the mattress was very comfortable, not to hard and not too soft. There are other mattresses available at a cheaper price but this mattress was worth the additional money spent. ... show more

I needed a new spare mattress as my wife and are both light sleepers so we switch off sleeping on a twin bed in a spare room. Don’t knock it as a marriage saver. Anyways, I went to the local mattress chain store and their bed in a box options felt mushy and cheap. They then tried to sell me an $1,100 twin mattress which was apparently a great sale price - yikes. This outing at least convinced me I needed a hybrid mattress (coils and memory foam). From there I decided what I could find on Amazon and the choices and reviews were all over the place. I landed on this one as the Vine reviews were all really positive, shipping was among the quickest, and I liked that it was made in US. Super happy with my choice. I unpacked in the living room and it puffed right up. The firmness continued to increase through the next day but ready to sleep on night one. Everything about this mattress screams quality and such a bargain at this price. I would say it is on the firmer side of medium which is my sweet spot. It definitely cradles you and such an improvement over what we had. I would put it side by side with the chain store mattresses that were 2-3x the price. I did not notice any chemical smells etc. It is a bit heavy so might require a buddy lift to get upstairs. One note is on delivery I did not have an option to just have mattress dropped off. I did not need set up/haul away and wish Amazon just had a check box as had to convince drivers of this through my Ring doorbell as I was not home at time. Very comfortable mattress. Exceeded expectations. We use it on a guest bed so it’s not used often but it is comfortable - way more so than the cheap all-foam mattress on a bed we use more frequently. May upgrade that one to this hybrid version. Has edge support and more structure.

I received the King mattress and waited patiently while it came to full size almost immediately..They do supply a little tool to help open the bag with and it didn’t explode into a mattress like I’ve see videos on line!
