140mm fans are inherently the superior fan size and should be used whenever possible. These 140s, with their extra 30mm thickness, feel like little tanks. The noise they produce is low, both frequency and RPM. This means they sound pleasant. Light is different than the SL-Inf or AL fans, both in the Uni line. For darker interiors, the AL or Inf from Lian Li might give you better light production and visual pop. As you can see from the picture, the right interior won't need the light output of the AL or Inf fans. ... show more

This product is bragged on, and touted over all over the internet, but I can say from experience, that these fans aren't what their cracked up to be... They are finicky to say the least. The RGB gives so much trouble, they stop working sometimes for no reason at all, and the RGB app they provide, there's two of them, and they are a pain to use as well. The colors are great for cretin ones and very lack luster for others, like orange. there are multiple fan speeds, but it's only quiet in the slowest one, on any of the others, the sound is highly noticeable, and revs up from there to jet engine status very quickly. There are much better brands out there I'd recommend over Lian Li, now that I've experienced them for myself. save your money... ... show more

    • They just look pretty!
If you want fans that look pretty inside your system, than these fans are for you. That and installation are the only positives of these fans. First they don't move much air, even when raising the speed they don't move as much air as other fans. Second they are loud, if you run them over 800RPM (low setting) the fans can be heard across the room. Finally the software to control the fans (L-Connect) is trash. If you want good performing fans than i would suggest noctua, phanteks or artic, hell almost anything is better than these fans. ... show more

Gonna be honest here, this was mostly my own fault for not checking with Lian Li manufacturing first. 140 Uni Fans are still in production, and haven't come out yet. These are just SL 140 fans. That being said, if you want SL's, go right ahead and get these. I'm just glad I got them returned in time. ... show more
