At first I was like why do I need a fan with an LCD? Now I want more lol. The wireless function of these fans is really good. The software is easy to use and the ability to put custom videos and pictures is great. I love the look of the fans and wish I had switched sooner. Just having one cable instead of multiple is a game changer. Linking the fans together was easy too and fast. No more 10 plus fan cables to plug in for me lol. The LCD and colors are bright and beautiful. These fans do a nice job being quiet and keeping my case cool. Overall they feel well made and the reverse blade design makes for a beautiful looking case.

Have a bunch of these fans (3x on AIO rad, 3x on bottom of case, and 1x exhaust) + 3x Lian Li's TCL LCD fans + 2x strimmers. The fans themselves are excellent and work solo or in a daisy-chained group (which is the primary feature of these fans - they fact they snap together without need for additional wires). They look fantastic, especially when they're lit up - the infinity mirror center is awesome. The ecosystem though is a bit frustrating to get set up and working together. Single fans come with different connectors than the daisy-chained 3 packs. Everything needs to be hooked to Lian Li controllers that only come with the 3-packs. Controllers can't be daisy chained and each type of fan (SL INF - these ones - TCL and the UNF/AIO fans) need their own separate controller - which means your USB bus is too flooded with nested connections and you need to use a separate USB cable routed through the back of your case to your motherboard's I/O instead of using USB headers (which you likely don't have enough of). Lian Li sells a power supply that helps solve this issue, but it's also an issue they've unnecessarily created. Overall, great fans.. but the ecosystem took forever to set up (actually get working flawlessly), requires too many cables and controller boxes, and requires a workaround of routing a cable outside your case). The software also isn't the greatest. I'd do it all again, simply because you only have to do it once per PC build - which should be once every 4-6 years. However, there's no doubt Lian Li has complicated what should have been a simpler solution.

Pros: fan looks very nice and was simple to connect as I already had a wireless strimer. While the “wireless” fan isn’t completely wireless, it reduces wires as the rgb is controlled wirelessly, but for power it still needs a USB connection. Also think the rgb is nice, not too over the top. Moves a decent amount of air as a case fan. Think the TL model is better suited for radiator. Cons: The biggest con I see is that Lian Li, at the time of this review, does not make a 140mm version of the SL wireless. I’m using six Noctua Chromax fans until they come out with them and can get whole system on this platform. Overall good fan if you only need 120mm fans. Would recommend!

Got these for my husband on his request. I'm sure he could give you a whole spiel on how great these are and why, all I really know is they are a reliable company and product and the fan design makes for easier install and a cleaner look, along with easier RGB settings than others. You can definitely get cheaper fans, but if you go with Lian Li you are going higher quality.

Installation was easy, came with screws and everything you need. However you will need to install the software to load images. Airflow is great and it is very quiet for the most part.

I bought 7 LCD fans and 3 non lcd fans for my case. I ensured following the guide to plug into the mobo directly, and installed the latest software. I could not get them to work after 2 days worth of troubleshooting. I'm a computer engineer so please trust I did everything, many attempts, correctly. Tried every version of the software I could find (about 8 different versions.) I believe the issue with these is software related as unreliably on some boots 1 or 2 would work. Either I had terrible luck with getting bad fans, or these are just not well supported with the state of the software to control the LCD part. I was heartbroken to return them as they look like they could be so cool, but in the end I want fans that work. Timestamping this 3/2025 so people can compare.
