  • Nice but guess what
Everyone raves about this case but they barely scratch the surface on YT "review" videos. The removable top makes it easy for the beginner. Even after the top is complete and back on there are special openings that help pass wires over the top of the mother board. Helpful when sorting out the RGB etc. Also totally overlooked are eight tiny Easter eggs in the screws kit. You can hear most pluses on YT but they aren't very smart and you should know the rest. I'm not a builder but I'll tell you what you really need to know. You should know to use the extra "RGB Controller" front panel you will need more than one USB header on the MB and that's in addition to the USBc header. If you only have one USB MB header you will need an adapter board that gives two USB headers from one. It has to be circuitry, an ordinary splitter cable will not work on this level USB. Lian Li should make that clear and give instructions. Took me a week to work it out and I wasted $30 on a $15 controller. The splitter will cost you an extra $20. So in total the controller cost an extra $65 and a week of study and fiddling to get all USB working. If you follow my instructions adding the controller to a mid level MB will cost you $15(controller) + $20(splitter) = $35. Also know the control buttons are all flush and the same color as the case. So you'll have no indication of where they are in dim lighting. For some strange reason the front strips are painted dark blue/black. That's not shown in the photos. I won't go into RGB, after I got it working like I wanted I leave it alone. Only use the optional front controller for extra USB. If I had known I'd left it off. Anyway if it's your first build best to keep RGB simple or all from the same maker if you don't want to spend hours with programs. So yes it's a good case and now you know the rest. ... show more
