I used to carry a C02 pump, but was stranded 50+ miles from home a few weeks ago when I got two flats back to back (never before happened in 15 years of year round biking), and for some reason my second cartridge kamikazied itself as soon as I screwed it in. I had to do the most shameful thing ever and have my wife pick me up in her minivan, and I vowed to never let it happen again. I bought this with high hopes, and they were completely exceeded. Ok, here’s the things I wanted to know, but couldn’t figure out from online reviews… this also applies to the other Lezyne mini pumps. The “screw on portion” screws on to the valve portion of the stem. So if you have smooth stems, you’re still set, it only catches the very very end of the stem. I tried really really hard to get it to unscrew the valve like some reviews have said, and did not have luck with that. I have a valve stem tool on my multi tool anyways. I suppose if I was really worried about it I could blue loctite the valves in there. 20 seconds of work, and I don’t mind anything that has to do with bike work. Are you still concerned about the valve getting unscrewed? You can order the Lezyne slip chuck (the black plastic one) and it fits on the Schrader end of the valve and just slips on and off of presta valves. I ordered it before hand, and it works great. It didn’t slip off up to 90 psi. I put myself through it and pumped up a flat to 90 psi in my shop 4 times with this thing. It took me between 4 minutes to 5 minutes of pumping. It was moderately tough, but not what I would call difficult. I did have more luck when I oriented the tire to be lying down, and pumped downwards. The air release valve on the presta side is a great feature so you don’t have to fight the air pressure in the hose when unthreading. I am a roadie so I don't own any bikes with schrader valves so I can’t tell you if that side works well. This fits in both of my different under seat bags, along with spare tube, multi tool, patch kit, and a few Clif Bars. It is truly miniature, and I really love it. I tore it down and it’s a nice simple design, not much to go wrong. All internal rings can be sourced pretty much anywhere. The tube can be sourced separately if you plan on using this thing a lot and it wears out. I would imagine I’ll get 15 years out of it and buy something new and shiny. So, if you can stand the price, go for it. You won’t regret it, it’s a nice solid pump, tiny footprint, and works well. ... show more

I've been a Lezyne fan for a little while now. They design well and in my opinion have made some really good products. I got this pump to replace my other all alloy Lezyne pump that was larger in size but recently started to find a way to wiggle out of my back jersey pocket. It's no fun backtracking to search for your pump on the street after you've been hauling ass trying to make a good showing on a Strava segment. Either way, the pump is built to last. It's built well. It's compact. This version is high pressure for road tires. I'm switching to tubeless road, and since they run at lower pressures, I decided I didn't need the larger pump anymore. And if there's pressure in the tire, I won't need a larger pump to top off or provide some emergency air. The valve hose is designed to be screwed into the pump handle when not in use and screwed into the base when needed. It can be flipped for Presta or Schrader valves. A small detail is that on the Presta side, there is a small pressure relief button so all your pumping won't go to waste as you try to unscrew the hose from your tire valve. I haven't tried to pump from a complete empty tire to full pressure, so I'm not sure how many pumps that'll take..... Otherwise, this pump looks great and should last quite a while. ... show more

The pump design is excellent, this is the second Lezyne pump I’ve owned with a telescoping pump + hose design and I’ve had zero issues with them. But the metal cage mount for this pump has a fatal design flaw- the mounting holes do not align with my frame’s cage holes (see photo). I’ve used several different bottle cages (Specialized and King) on this frame with no issues, but there is zero tolerance for spacing differences in this pump mount and I absolutely could not get screws aligned through the bottle cage and pump mount into the frame. I was ultimately successful only after using a hammer and some brute force to bend the aluminum mount, warping it in the process. ... show more

I messed around with cheap mini-pumps for years and more than once they left me stranded by damaging the valve core or stem or just not working. This Lezyne Pocket Pro Mini is the answer to my prayers. Very compact, very lightweight and it’s easy to use and it won’t chew up your valve stem - works on both Schaefer and Presta. When changing a 700c road tire, 200 pumps with this mini pump will make the tire hard enough to get home, 300 pumps will get it nice and hard. High quality and easy to use! ... show more

I pumped as much as I could, and only 60psi for presta (road bike). Great looking pump, fine for an emergency (e.g. running out of CO2 and you need to limp home).. but 60PSI isn’t enough to continue a ride, just enough not to walk.

Pretty good mini pump, good quality and works good. No issues with undoing my valve cores. For my bike it's perfect. Put it in back pocket instead of bike frame as it fits nicely as it is so small
