  • Great little gift to someone that’s into mountain biking
Color: Red
Was a gift to someone that has everything related to mountain biking. Usually do not want to buy something that requires personal preference like this, but was told that this is great for the safety kit to travel with to get him back to the trail head when something happens to the tire. Always a worry even if it’s tubeless. The only thing is that I did not buy extra CO2 cartridge since it only came with 1. Seems to be trusted brand. ... show more

  • So jpmuch better than a hand pump
Color: Black
I bought this to replace the one I lost. Very effective and easy to carry. So much better than a hand pump. Once the CO2 cartridge is fully screwed in place, it seals well on the tire valve and will inflate the tire completely. You’ll likely expend the cartridge on one tire, or close to anyway. Being that they are so small, it is easy to lose while riding your bicycle. But in a race, this is so much better than a pump, and as stated takes so much less room. Great product! ... show more

  • Worth it
Color: Silver
I like this because it is metal, small, controllable, and o-rings. The first thing I did when I got it was to let the air out of my front tire to test it. For those who have not used this before, you should know that to trigger it required me to cross my thumbs on the outside of the tire and clasping my fingers over the canister and trigger and squeeze pretty hard. The (shrader) valve will sink in from the pressure and you won't hear much of a hiss or rushing air like you would at the gas station air pump. One 16g will fill my 700X35 to about 110psi and I have to let out air to get it to where I need it. One of the canisters I ordered was mostly a dud but would have had enough gas in it to get me home. So It don't hurt to carry 3 and a pump. I tried this 3 times until I had the hang of it. Rumor has it that CO2 molecules leak through the innertube and you have to eventually replace lost gas with air. If that's the case, I will update this if I can. I would have given it a 5 if it had a readable gauge attached but that would be more money and larger item for the seat bag. This is probably as good as it gets for this type system. I didn't want a pump because they wear out when you need it the most and I won't be going out of cell service area too often. One last thing - I think if you screw the inflator onto the valve first and then screw in the canister it is a lot easier. Update: 3 days later I check the tire pressure and; The rumor is true, you will need to refill with air but not that much. The tires at 90psi after I filled with C02 and when I checked it three days later both were near 70psi. IMO Co2 system is only for making roadside emergencies easier. ... show more

  • Great little emergency air supply
Color: Black
This is a wonderful item to keep with you on those long bike treks that can be a lifesaver in the event of a tire problem. Compared to a conventional pump, it's way smaller and lighter to carry, and should you need it, it will have you on the road again in just a few seconds. It's a small, solid unit that looks like it would last forever. Machined nicely and precisely, it fits all of the tires I've tried it on easily and securely, operating without leaks or other problems. I've tried three brands of CO2 cartridges and they've all fit perfectly. As other reviewers point out, you need to watch the O-ring. Mine came out the first time I tested it...a thin coating of vaseline seems to have helped it seat better and it hasn't happened since. If you have aging, arthritic hands like mine, it's also a terrific way to inflate your tires without coming the aches and pains a conventional pump causes. You do need a fair bit of strength to operate the trigger, but for me it's easier than the grip and motion a conventional pump requires. I did find that the 16g CO2 cartridges are marginal...definitely recommend the larger 25g ones instead. ... show more

  • Does not seal properly
Color: Black
I bought this and first used it to seat the bead on a rear mtb tire. When using it I discovered that the threading does not seat properly to seal the co2. It leeks at a decent rate so you have to use it quickly and at once. I wasted 3 cartridges thinking that somehow the first two were just faulty but not turns out the threading on the product is just low quality. Worst part is they don't allow returns.... first product I have seen on amazon that doesn't allow refunds... I wonder why.... Do not buy, beware of the other bad reviews and no refund policy ... show more

  • Valve freezes up
Color: Black
To be fair, I've only used this a couple of times to test it out and not in real life situations. I used two CO2 cartridges to test the unit out and both times the valve froze up and remained in the open position. I guess that's okay when you are filling your tires from a flat, but if you don't want to use the entire cartridge up, then this is a problem. I will keep it, but I'll probably also carry my 15 year old valve that has a threaded lock on it. ... show more
