It has a textured surface to keep hold of, there's a huge, real hinge on the lid that won't break from use, a slider lock showing the torx daisy shape with a "T" in the middle for easy ID on our shop shelves. The lid interior is lined with a cushioning material made to keep the sockets in place quietly, but it also serves for a small parts holding area when opened. Probably intentional by design, the sockets fit into three areas in the case, so that every row's sockets have similar drive size. This is exactly what I needed—fantastic quality very durable and a variety of sizes. Pro tip: make sure you open the container with the brand’s logo on top, or all the bits will fall out. Rookie mistake, lol. Great brand they work well and I will be checking out their other products.
