  • Holds Up Great!
Color: Green
Had it for 4 years now and its held up very strongly! One-handed open button is quick, closing does take 2 hands to shorten back down and wrap close. It has never inverted in the normal windy city conditions. No rips or tears in the fabric and no rusting on metal frame. Comes in a handy sleeve to hold a wet umbrella and also protects it from daily jostling a commuter backpack. After a few years, there are some mildew stains where the fabric meets the metal. Likely due to closing and storing before it completely dried out (read: user error). This is apparent on the green color, prob would not even notice on black. Great quality for the price - just get one! ... show more

  • Works well
Color: Black
I've had this umbrella a few months now and it has held up well in some pretty windy storms surviving being blown inside out a few times. It is a fully automatic umbrella that opens and closes (retracts) at the push of a button. It is a very small umbrella but opens to a good size for one person. I was using a similar totes umbrella before this but I think I like this one better since it is smaller. ... show more

  • Perfect everyday umbrella
Color: Black
This is a fabulous umbrella for the price. I bought this because it was highly recommended and I haven't been let down. I had one amazing umbrella for years that was a giveaway from my university alumni association (best promotional item ever), and hated to replace it. But this has worked very well for a couple of years now despite neglect and abuse — it's been left outside in the rain for a few days, it's flipped inside out in the wind numerous times, it's been used as a baseball bat by my toddler. And it still seems practically new. I live in the Pacific Northwest, where people inexplicably don't use umbrellas, and I am smug and dry every time I use it. ... show more

  • will not die.
Color: Black
I bought my first approximately a year ago after doing a lot of research for a quality umbrella. I expected to pay at least $50 for something durable and reliable, not $11.75! Things like these should never be reviewed shortly after purchasing, and I'm only here now because I lost my first, and am coming back to buy a second. In the year of use, I can only remember it flipping once or twice, in very, very high winds. Even after flipping, when most umbrellas' days would be numbered, this umbrella lived on. You can go to Walgreens and spend $10 on an umbrella for the weekend, or you can buy this one, and use it for at least a year. I recommend the latter. ... show more

  • Sturdy and Reliable
Color: Orange
I've had this for a year now, and I can definitely recommend it. This is a sturdy umbrella, and its auto-open and auto-close mechanisms work reliably, which is great for getting in and out of taxis, buses, subways, stores, etc. (The spring mechanism is tough, so I tend to use the floor or a nearby wall for leverage when compressing it.)The size is a good compromise between coverage and compactness—it's larger than the dinky ones at the drugstore, but will fit easily into a backpack or travelling bag (though not a small purse). Mine is orange, which makes it very easy to identify and improves my visiblity to cars in bad weather. There might be some super-high-performance umbrella that manages to be as useful as this one but also lighter and more compact, which would be nice as it is a bit of a club, but I haven't come across it and I'm pretty satisfied with this one. ... show more

  • Durable and Effective
Color: Black
This compact umbrella is far more durable and effective than most of the competition I have used over the years. Easy to use and pack away. An excellent product.

  • Packs smaller than most others on amazon - and just as great as the best of them.
Color: Black
I needed something under 10 inches to fit in my work bag for going to and from my hospital. Most compact umbrellas on amazon are 11 inches to 13 when closed. The (very few) ultra compact ones are trash so I kept looking and found this. Literally could not be happier - it's fantastic, tough, and fits great. I've never heard of this brand before (always had London Fog or Totes before). I love this little guy, could not be happier with my purchase - and they are really reasonable as far as price, very happy resident right here :) ... show more

  • Still going strong after two and half years
Color: Black
When you start using this umbrella, you will notice that this is a very ordinary umbrella. It does what every umbrella does: keep you dry in the rain. It is like any umbrella you would find in the local drugstore, except a little bit lighter and maybe a little bit expensive. It has moderate wind resistance, but will still flip in very strong winds. But, this umbrella lasts. I have never had an umbrella before which lasted more than 6 months. I have tried them all from $10 umbrellas at the local drugstore which look big and burly, but break in the wind after a month or two to a very well-reviewed Totes umbrella with a lifetime guarantee which cost twice as much as this umbrella and broke a rib in just 6 months. On the other hand, I have been using this umbrella for almost two and half years. The canopy looks a tiny bit worn out, but other than that it functions as well as it did when I bought it. ... show more
