I bought this on a whim because I could see myself bundled up by the campfire on a cool Michigan night with some hot cocoa. But I got it and it’s maybe too cute to smell like campfire. So now I’m thinking of fall apple orchards and football games. This is the nicest shacket I’ve seen. It’s heavy and warm without being bulky. I’m 5’6 140lbs and the small fit perfectly. I like how long it is and I think the combo lining of shearling and nylon will be warm and cut the wind. I really like that it has a zipper and snaps. I think this is one of those coats that is going to get worn a lot while shackets are popular and then become my campfire coat when the fad ends. I got it for 25% off, but it is probably worth full price.

This coat is a welcomed addition to any winter wardrobe (temps in 20s-50s)! Sure, a long full puffer coat is usually the warmest, but sometimes a more streamlined look is wanted when it's not freezing or snowing. And this coat is impressive! The mid-thigh length (with fleece lining only for the back) keeps the core and bum warm, which helps when outdoors for a while. The sides have a smooth quilted acetate fabric, while the sleeves are lined in a smooth unquilted fabric for easy on/off. Pockets have a smooth slightly brushed fabric. There are so many jackets out there. I tried several jackets from Columbia, LL Bean, Lands End, Eddie Bauer, but the fit or look didn't please. I felt warm with a cool-vibe look. The style is classic, with quality fabric and construction. I'm a bit of a coat connoisseur and believe that this coat will stand the test of time fashion-wise and will last a lifetime with proper care. I usually wear a 1X-2X and kept the 1X.

If I lived on the East Coast, I would have kept and loved this coat. Unfortunately, I live in the desert area and have no need for a coat of this weight. I ordered my normal extra-large which was oversized for my needs. If I lived somewhere where I needed layers, it would be perfect. That said, I think it’s a great buy for super cold weather, but if you live in the west, don’t do it.

I put this on and new immediately it was a weird fit. The pattern and colors aren’t attractive and don’t look like the picture. I have another jacket in a black and white color and both the fit and pattern are great. The sizes and fit vary among the sizes and patters. I am definitely returning.
